Inside this building that looks like your average northwoods tavern with a name that sounds a little bit like a strip joint, hides an awesome place to to get a great meal with great service. The bar is part of an open dinning room that seats a good amount of people. Tonight's dinner crowd was pretty substantial for a week night and it pretty much filled all of the tables and barstools. With one bartender, a couple of waitresses and a few cooks they got the food out! Very impressed with my service and even though the bartender (I sat at the bar) was slammed, she found a way to take care of me, and even talked a bit while making drinks. Very friendly staff! And the food was awesome too! I want to point out my favorite part of my meal... the garlic bread that came with the salad. Warm, soft and buttery... I'd come back just to have the garlic bread! The rest of my meal included French Onion Soup, and the "Poor Man's" Lobster with a baked potato. Small local spot worth visiting again and again though nobody was masked up, nobody, and that will turn some off. More like heartbroken I won't be able to return anytime soon given I'm not from the area because this place is totally repeatable. Comfort food you can taste was lovingly prepared. Thoroughly enjoyable. Hard-working, dutiful staff with impressive teamwork which is unusually nice. Poor Man's lobster was better than lobster. Right on right on right on right on. I was here long time ago and it was good so wanted to go back since I'm now back in the area. Well never again! We were seated, hostess sat us down took our drink order, received our drinks and never saw anyone again. After waiting about 15 or so minutes I went up to the and paid for the sodas while my husband and his son went to the car. As looks flew at me and I explained my situation I was still made to pay for our three fountain drinks as the bartender proceeds to tell me how the hostesses didn't tell the waitress and the waitress never saw us there to take our order. So being their fault and still having to pay for the drinks and dealing with the hostess slamming stuff around behind me because now she's p!ssed because of the situation. No, nope, I will not go back. My step son went through the same thing with his grandparents few weeks before but they stayed. And yes, I have a waitress back ground, service and sales. A bar restaurant. Had the Gorgonzola tenderloin and it is amazing. Highly recommended by the locals here and I have to tell others to try it also. Medium rare is the best for that cut. Also the prime rib is okay but the tenderloin tops it. read more

We came her for lunch and although initially it seemed as things were going to go downhill fast it turned out the exact opposite. Busy at first but things slowed down. Place was clean, including bathrooms. I ordered the French DDip and my husband has the broasted chicken. Both were wonderful. I ordered a side salad and although I read revIews that said it was good, I'd have to disagree, skip that. My husband Chicken Noodle Soup was delicious, according to him. My prime rib was delicious with a very generous amount of au ju in a bowl that you can actually dip your sandwich into. French fries were tasty also. My husband said the broasted chicken was extra juicy and the outside was spiced just right. I would definitely recommend stopping here and having a bite to eat. Not sure what even made me look at this place when looking up places for dinner but I'm not mad I did! Given the name Heart Breakers, I honestly thought it was a gentleman's bar if some sort, lol. The food was amazing! My steak was cooked perfectly with the Gorgonzola butter (nom nom) along with baby reds. My other half had the fried chicken with potato puffs, which didn't disappoint. Baked French onion soup was spot on! Small, friendly atmosphere with a great menu and equally great food. Will definitely come back if ever in the area. UPDATE: All new cooks, possibly new management - not sure. Prices went up, food took FOREVER to get out - we only had a party of 3 and were there almost 3 hours... and we didn't get our food at the same time either. My moms salad/soup came first, she was done as my chicken came out, and I was just finishing as my dads steak came out - for the FIRST time. Had to bring it back TWICE to get the correct cook... and my dad's not a picky guy, but a rare steak is not the same as medium. When we go to dinner there, we expect it to take a little time, but 3 hours is ridiculous... and I think it's anyone's expectation that your party will all be eating at the same time as well. Great food. Horrible service. Was treated extremely rudely by floor manager and called to complain and she intercepted the phone call. While her ethnicity has nothing to do with her service it's important that the owners know their one Asian-American staff member is a problem. If you need to have a waiting list for tables, don't keep it a secret then scold walk-ins who slip into a table opportunity when it presents itself. We don't know what we don't know. read more

Stopped in on our way back to Oshkosh from Land O Lakes area for lunch on Sunday. The bar and dining area were very busy and Jamie was waiting tables and bartending . Never got rattled and took very good care of us even as busy as it was. I thanked her for great service and by the way the food was fantastic as well! We've been coming here for years. The pizza, steak, and fish are the best. They just need to do some gluten free options. Pizza crust or even a burger bun, sandwich bread for their sandwiches. We were there not too long ago when my sister asked for butter on the side due to medical issues. But the fish came swimming in butter with a cup of butter on the side. I came here with some co-workers on a recommendation from our hotel. We're all road warriors so we like to eat at local places and Heart Breakers certainly fit this mold. Heart Breakers is a steak joint - their specialty is the tenderloin with gorgonzola. Our designated driver was happy they serve Coca-Cola (seems that WI is one of those Pepsi states). The rest of us suffered by drinking Blue Moon which was the best of the beers from their crappy beer selection.
