Dr. Chiotellis of the Heart Center in Hyannis; not a recommendation as he does not speak English! He never told me what he was doing or why. I was at a
Pre-Op appt. Brigham & Women's in Jamaica Plains ( a 2 1/2 hr ride in) the nurse practitioner became concerned that sometimes I can't catch my breath..I was at the hospital going to my pre op to have my ankle replaced; yes I am
In considerable pain. My EKG came out perfect as did the past EKG's I had. My primary care spoke with the NP for me to come back to the Cape as she was going to have me see a heart doctor! My PC scurried me out of her office and I needed to get to the Heart Center where this doctors was going to examine me to put all at ease! First he sent me to the hospital for exrays and blood work....in January I had breast cancer and I'm now cancer free; so I had routine testing prior to that! My left Nipple was injected with Six needles without any pain meds, and then they continued to cut my areola to put in a port! Wow I was not prepared! I went through the surgery and treatment in perfect shape! No blip on the screen showing any distress! This heart doctor decided I needed a nuclear stress test with a radio active injection..,,with just having breast cancer that is the last thing I wanted injected in my body ! My 53 year old sister is at end stage Metastatic Breast Cancer and is now on Hospice....we have only weeks left to spend with her! I am walking with pain because of my ankle, worried about surgery to replace my ankle, my BP was high (my 52 year old brother had his 2nd
Thoracostmy in 7 moths under emergency surgery!). Gee, why am I stressed and my BP high??? I need the surgery! The coronary doctor decided I needed an echo cardio gram, a nuclear stress test was ordered for Monday which cancelled my surgery! I went reluctantly on Monday had the injection against my wishes. Had the pictures of my heart taken then we go off to do the stress part of the test. I may not name this equipment accurately but you will get the gist of it... that place stickies on my chest to attach the leads to the stickies, one lead is broken...then the take the harness with all the leads and go to plug it in for the computer to read my BP! Well the computer is not recognizing the lead; apparently the connection to the computer failed, the talons/ connector inside the plug had bent talons so it would not work; I commented why they hadn't checked their equipment before the test! No answer! They said I'll have to come back once it's repaired:( I made another appt. against my better judgement. And I left quite upset! I called them when I got home to find out when the repair man would be in? Only to be told the "girls" doing the test were able to unbend the talons on the machine and plugged it in the machine....it is now working? Now, the system was not recalibrated or for that matter how does one know the test would be accurate? They were proud to say they were back in business! I called and cancelled my appointment this afternoon as I spoke with several medical people in the Cancer Center. They were appalled at this and said I was right to cancel my appt. so I actually give them a "0" read more
