You walk out of the bathroom in your gown open in the back to find the bed you have been assigned. I can only compare this experience to a modern facility located in Falmouth by Cape Cod Hospital. If it wasn't for Dr. Nader Ì would have been in Falmouth.

I have never felt so rushed, not so much before the procedure but certainly after. The nurse had me sitting up, getting dressed and out to the waiting room within 20 minutes of coming out of anesthesia. I vaguely remember Doctor Nader standing at the bottom of the gurney for about 30 seconds, telling me to "read the papers." My brain was so groggy. I needed more time to focus. My blood pressure was high 148/87 but that did not slow the discharge process at all. I'm 72 years old, it should have been a reason to slow down but the nurse said, "Go home and sleep it off." I have not had a conversation with my PCP yet regarding my experience, but let it be known, I will never return there for any reason and I do not recommend their services to anyone.

It is my understanding that it is possible to request a specific anesthesiologist for your surgery at Cape Cod Hospital, but generally it is my understanding that they are assigned patients. I have not verified with CCAA that picking a particular anesthesiologist is an absolute. Regardless those two are wonderful men in the O.R. It would be a nice touch if they were able to visit you after surgery in Recovery.

He inspired absolute confidence. He performed emergency surgery on my damaged hand and started me on the road to recovery in a little over an hour after I showed up at the Hospital ER. He followed up with numerous appointments at his Yarmouth office. He referred me to an excellent occupational hand therapist who has greatly aided me on the road to recovery.
