The doctor then okayed moving forward with the sclerotherapy procedure. Dr. Rizzo and team worked very well together and the time went by quickly. As her grandson, I would take her very often to her appointments with Dr. Muto for varicose veins in the legs. One procedure after the next, my grandmother would consistently complain about the horrific pain she would feel on both legs - weeks, even months after the procedures were done. The pain she would feel was not normal, so we would go back into the office to get it checked out and Dr. Muto would always come back with the same response, "this is normal and expected - pain and swelling can last up to 6-8 weeks, especially in older people". Her veins were blown inside and her legs were hard as ROCKS + incredibly swollen. Her veins being blown, of course, lead to a large amount of bruising on not only the insides, but the outside of her legs - her legs didn't look the same. It was heartbreaking to see her go through this much pain because once she was diagnosed with leukemia, it was clear that because of the cancer, she was not healing properly. We understand that Dr. Muto specializes in veins. However, if Dr. Muto paid more attention to detail from the beginning - as any wise/GREAT physician should and would have even though they're not 'specialized' in that area.. even mid-way through her treatment and constant return to her office due to the pain, my grandmother would have gotten the proper care and testing done much sooner - and, quite possibly, would still be here with us today. I will NEVER go back to this woman to be seen, will not recommend anybody here.. nor do I advise ANYBODY to trust this woman's diagnoses and 'expertise'. It's a shame!! It's clear that this sick woman is in this field for the $$$$ after doing research in her and reading many reviews. I left with a 10 minute treatment only on one leg and was told that my veins weren't big enough for injections. Never heard such from 3 other MD I had worked done in the past. Previous doctors used light and magnifying glasses to carefully visualize and treat my spider veins which are most of the time tiny. This doctor didn't do that. I literally got ripped off for 5-6 injections on my right leg. He said he would also work on a spot on my left leg but didn't. 10 minute job for $350?! If you need to get a treatment done don't come here. I wish he would refund half of the treatment I paid for. It is not fair. If he felt like I didn't have enough veins he "recommend" getting treated for $350 then tell me, I'll walk away and you can keep the $50. Please don't do this to hard working people trying to get help. It's not fair. If you could be so kind to refund me for the half work you provided today, I would greatly appreciate your service. Friendly, caring, listening to my concerns and made me feel comfortable. My annual for this year was scheduled at my last appointment last year, as I do every year. I always make sure to take the day off from work. The DAY BEFORE my appointment this year at 4pm I received a voicemail that was a brief recording saying my appointment has been canceled because the NP was out on leave. (totally understandable BUT TO WAIT UNTIL 4pm ON THE DAY BEFORE MY APPT... UNACCEPTABLE.) I was left completely hanging. I had already made arrangements to take the day off from work and have my kids picked up from school by a relative to make this appt. Whats even more disappointing and frankly bad business is that I NEVER received a call from the staff to reschedule my appointment either. I'm very disappointed as I did like the NP's but will probably not be returning to this office.
