There are several things that set Heartprint Images apart from other newborn photographers. First is the quality of their work. I researched photographers extensively and looked at a LOT of newborn photos. On Heartprint's website (and on Yelp), there are tons of adorable newborn images with a variety of poses and props. I felt confident that Cathy would be able to get some great shots of our little one. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! The photo session was absolutely personalized and individual- no cookie-cutter photos here! Cathy did the session at our house, using our furniture and some of our stuff for props. She also brought a ton of cute hats, outfits, and background props. She incorporated our personal style and interests (we're horse people with an affinity for things leather and/or rustic). The result was amazing, personal, and beautifully artistic photos. I expected to get only a few "money shots", but we ended up choosing 18 photos that we couldn't live without. We could have chosen so many more! I was amazed by how good Cathy and Debbie were with my little one. They were so patient and gentle with her. When baby finally fell asleep at the end of the session, Cathy and Debbie stayed an extra hour to get more photos (most sessions are 2-3 hours, they stayed 4+ hours!) I'm so glad they did- the photos they got while she was sleeping are absolutely precious!! Another thing worth mentioning is their pricing schedule. 10 digital images were included the session fee, which is amazing! All the other photographers I looked into wanted to sell products (prints, canvases, photo books), and digital images individually for around $125. I hate being "nickel and dimed", and I want the digital images to use at my leisure, so I really appreciate the way Heartprint prices things. We got a ton of outstanding photos for a very reasonable price. Cathy was also very accommodating when it came to scheduling. I was a little late to the game and didn't think about getting photos done till baby was already a month old (FYI newborns photos are usually done at 5-10 days old and booked before baby is born). It was the week before Thanksgiving when I decided I wanted to do photos and have them for our Christmas cards. I'm so grateful she was able to fit us in, and now I have the sweetest Christmas cards! I'm so glad I had Cathy and Debbie from Heartprint do our newborn photos. I have these amazing pictures to treasure for a lifetime, and it couldn't have been a better experience. Our family decided to take our son on his first bday to Disneyland! My husband had the idea to have Cathy come and photograph the day. We are so glad we booked Cathy to help capture our special day! Cathy is such an amazing photographer! She was extremely professional and was excellent with my little one, who was only 2 weeks old. I initially had reservations about bringing her when she was so young, but Cathy made me feel so comfortable and definitely made the experience a memorable one. She even emailed some helpful guidelines for making the process go as smoothly as possible. She also had a small questionnaire to fill out to ensure that the pictures would fit with any theme choice I might have, as well as my personality, which was amazing. Her new studio is awesome and she has so many props, outfits, accessories, and more that I can't imagine anyone not being completely satisfied with the photos she takes. I was pleasantly surprised that when I arrived early she was ready to go and I brought a heater thinking it would be needed, I was wrong. Cathy had a small heater to point at the baby to keep her warm and comfortable as well as keeping the temperature in the room nice and warm. She worked very hard (and very patiently) to get one pose that I really wanted because my little one was being a fussy. Even though my little one was being fussy, I never heard anything but wonderful and positive things from her during the shoot.
