Alison is fantastic. She's has such a lovely personality and it shows immediately in the way she works with children. She puts everyone at ease and it shows in the photos. She capture so many beautiful shots of my little one that it was very difficult to pick my favorite photos. I think you really need that in a photographer. What's more is, she was able to see my little one the way I see her, meaning finding her best angles and cutest expessions. I've been through a couple of photographers and thus know how important it is to find one who sees you and your child the way you do. We all know our best features and angles but I think it takes a great photographer to figure it out on the fly during a shoot. This is especially important when you are meeting for the first time. The other photographers I used were very skilled technically, but I felt like they lacked where it is most important. I could tell right away because the pictures they liked and sent me for preview, were not the ones I liked and picked to buy in the end. They took a lot of care to set up the props and lighting. But what they thought was a peaceful smile, was a fart-face. Or what they thought was a quirky smirk was a scowl. I have been using Alison for a few years now for all of my family portraits. I have never been disappointed. Her eye for beautiful light is always captivating in our photographs. I automatically assumed that shooting family photos with our 3 year old and 3 month old would be incredibly stressful. But Alison proved us wrong and she was great to work with from start to finish. She was very flexible and offered several different locations and times to capture the best natural light.
