It takes a truly special person to be in this particular medical field and Dr. Crespo really cares for her patients and wants to help them. That is what you want from an audiologist. From the front desk to the doctor, everyone was kind and attentive to my mom's needs. This facility is one of the few places that accepts LA Care Medi-Cal for hearing aids. They only carry two kinds of hearing aids (Phonak and Unitron) but Dr. Crespo is an expert in both brands. When one didn't work for my mom, Dr. Crespo was willing to try to other one for her. Sadly, neither was a good fit and Dr. Crespo saw that and didn't try to push anything onto us. I do wish we had found a good fit for my mom because I liked everyone here. This review is solely on the interaction with several staff members via telephone. I had called to…read moremake an appointment and was told I'd get a call back. I got a call back and missed the call so I returned it. At this time the person who called me could not be found so I was placed on hold for several minutes, after about 10 mins I was told the person went to lunch. I asked if someone else could assist me, so I was placed on hold again. When someone else got on the line I was told they could take a message. At this point I'm getting upset because I've been holding for about 30 mins now and all I need to do is make an appointment ( I guess no one else knows how to). Well I left a message and no one returned it, I called again and then they couldn't find the insurance authorization so guess what! I was put on hold again. Even after saying I had the authorization in my hand and can give them the info, the person on the phone proceeded with putting me on hold to look for their copy. Oh my goodness what a mess. End of story I never made that appointment and called my insurance to send me elsewhere. If this was the process to only make an appointment I don't want to imagine the process of actually being seen here.

It just seems like this is a neglected corner of the PIH campus, where things happen not because of…read moregood habits, but bad. The place wreaks of a lack of vision, leadership, and correction and it's in part due to the fact that there's no oversight because it's enough away from the main hospital that no one goes there. A neglected, rather tawdry waiting room in the treatment area greets very sick patients with a puzzle on a makeshift card table, a CD player playing very old songs, rather than using piped in music, and magazines which are years old. A nurse shows patients into the treatment area, but fails to show some of them how to put on the gowns. I can't tell you how many patients were unable to dress themselves (tying the gowns behind them) and either came out half disrobed, or had other patients rushing in to help them. It is an unnecessarily tiny untidy place, and it's as if whomever designed it, never went to see the radiation oncology buildings at other locations. While the radiation techs are hard working, they are left with old machinery that breaks down. There's a lack of centralized communications with patients when this happens. They might call to cancel your appt., however the nurses have no idea, and won't call to cancel or confirm your appt. with the doctor if it happens to be the same day. So you end up going in anyway, and sometimes, they'll say, "Oh, we cancelled your appt." Neither the doctors nor the nurses or the admins have any regard of HIPAA. Doors to examining and the consultation rooms are left open, and anyone's progress or lack thereof, can be heard by passersby. (I once heard a fellow patient get bad news). Also, none of the doctors or the RN speaks fluent Spanish. So there's a lot of yelling as though the patient is deaf! In addition, the security door between the main waiting area and the clinic is left permanently open. There's a reason that security door is there, but apparently, they see it as an inconvenience. Look into other places before going to this tired place. The service won't kill you, but it won't inspire you, either.

My experience with this office has been wonderful during a horrible fight with cancer. All the…read morestaff, from the front office, to the nurses, radiation therapist (Jeff) and doctors have been so positive. They encouraged me continually, listened to my concerns and helped with my battle. For me, this was the place to go. Having radiation therapy is a struggle and all the staff uplifted me every day during my battle which I have won. Thank you all.

My wife and I attended a nutrition class at this Kaiser facility…read more Parking was easy and readily available. The clinic itself is large, clean, and well-maintained both inside and out. Kaiser employees were very friendly and helpful, providing great service; restrooms were clean; elevators worked perfectly; and the class was very educational and informative. The class instructor was very friendly, engaging, and provided great support, information, and encouragement. This was a positive learning environment and experience.

But it is the location where an appointment was available when I was searching for an appointment for my first visit. The staff I dealt with was nice. They were respectful to the patients and visitors. The restroom on some floors though needs to have paper towels by the door. I think some use air sry machine which is a big no because it's not hygienic. And to the fact that some people don't wash their hands after using the restroom. So you end up touching contaminated door handles. Dr. Vincent Wu is one of the best I have spoken with. 10/10 rating for being one of the beat doctors in addition to Dr. Bernard Hernandez (also 10/10) from East Los Angeles location. Ear fullness, dizzy spells, loss of hearing and nausea…read more They ran some tests, had me take steroids and stuff....but when the issue persisted, they told me im losing my hearing and need hearing aides. And for the dizzy spells they told me to balance in the corner on a piece of foam. I came back and demanded more tests and so they put me on a table and got me dizzy. Told me they see something neurological and to go see a neurologist. Well. I did. He didnt see anything wrong and suggested I may have meniers disease. He told me to go back to them and get more tests done, however by the time I finally got into the neurologist and he did scans and tests, my insurance was about to expire. I am still experiencing issues and trying to get referrals to another ent but this place was a waste of time. They just shrug your issues off and push you onto somebody else.
