We found Jason at his company on a Google search, but we should've went to yelp first that's our first mistake. Jason initially came off as a very knowledgeable person, but that wore off after the second or third conversation and the pushy used car sales man tactics kicked in. We Called them about a furnace replacement and was given a fairly reasonable price, his price beat Home Depots price, and I like small business. Shop local etc . When we went to sign he had to "nail down the quote" and said that it was "just a rough estimate he gave us . " one week later get a call back said there's gonna be a $3800 price adjustment because of Parts availability. And there nothing he can do about it. Take it or leave it. WOW! Beware! read more

Called several different HVAC companies in our area. Heat Transfer Systems (HTS) was the only one that returned our phone call, and that was within a few minutes of leaving a message. After speaking with the owner, a service call was scheduled for the very next day. The service tech, Jeremy, showed up on time and had serveral of the most likely replacement parts with him. He was very professional and personable. As it turned out, we needed to replace our 20+ year old furnace. HTS had two new models IN STOCK for me to choose from! After receiving a very competitive quote from HTS, installation was scheduled for the next day. Install crew of 3 arrived on time and with everything needed to complete the install. No going back to the shop for parts, etc. Again, the crew was very professional and completed the install in short order. We are extremely pleased with the service we received from Heat Transfer Systems and would highly recommend them. read more

Can't trust Jason Blust of HTS to stand behind his work, or even communicate. The owner Jason does know the mini-split technology. Crew did a clean install. But when it didn't work, he was unable to fix it. Twice. On the third failure, he refused to even try. With temps in the teens, it took a week to respond the first time. 18 days on the second occasion. Third time he cancelled service appointment the day before, and didn't show on the make up date he suggested. I just wanted heat. I had to pay someone else to fix the system. The new local competition chose the name Integrity to differentiate themselves. Stay away from Jason and HTS. read more

I purchased my house in winter only find out the central heat was not working call Jason @ Heat transfer system. Even though his guys were home sick with the flu, he came out personally diagnosed our system. His guy showed up two days later put in a brand, new heat and AC below estimated cost. Jason also went through our house, changed all the batteries on our O2 centers filters in our house serviced my freestanding propane heater at no charge. My wife and I are seniors. I've got nothing but praise for heat transfer systems. His team of service technicians are very profess to speak with. I feel comfortable leaving them in my home while I left very pleased with my service. I called with a service problem Jason sent out Within 20 minutes to service my system. Cannot depend on Jason Blust who calls himself the owner of Heat Transfer systems to stand behind his work. A job performed for me (installation of an demand water heater) did not perform correctly even after Jason attempted to fix the problem several times which he could not, finally had to call Lassen Energy to come and make the proper repairs in order to get the water heater to produce hot water and also to get the loud pounding noise to quit. Turned out to be an adjustment to the fuel to air mixture was needed which Jason did not have the proper device to test this plus did not have the knowledge to perform this type of adjusment. Jason constantly complained that he was not familiar with on demand water heater installation and was doing our general contractor a favor by installing this appliance and that he was not going to ever install another one. It also cost several hundred dollars to remedy the problem plus many trips too our home during the coldest months of the year was stressful to our family as hot showers could not be taken. Now after a back to normal winter in the Quincy area the snows wiped out the flue pipe where it terminates through the roof and the failure was caused from the lack of a professional installation. The flue pipe tail piece was glued to the main pipe and no snow diverter was installed above where the flue pipe terminated through the roof which caused the pipe to be wiped off the roof, had the pipe connections been made with three sheet metal screws which is the common requirement by the mechanical code for fastening flue pipes together for gas fired appliances. Do no trust his work and if anyone has work done by Jason or his crew make sure you have it inspected by a qualified tradesman. This work may not have been done by Jason himself but he should have been overseeing the work his crew performs as we could not do to being out of the area when this work was performed and our general contractor couldn't be trusted to oversee the work performed either as we later found out. Be careful who you hire in the Quincy area and be diligent about doing back ground checks. Jason refused to respond after messages left for him to call so we could resolve the issue with the damaged pipe and to explain why a snow diverter was not installed (diverters are on site but were never installed and the manual calls for them to be installed in snow country), also made an appearance in person to his office and was told he was to busy to deal with our problem and left it at that. Love these guys. Showed up same day on a last minute emergency call. Knew my heater backwards and forwards because Jason knows his stuff. I love how he showed me the broken part, explained why it failed and what do if it failed again. Reasonably priced too. Didn't try to milk me for extra cash on simple upgrades or other mumbo jumbo.
