Great beer, fun brew names, friendly staff and awesome food. Couldn't ask for a better Sunday evening.

Heathen Production Brewing and Kitchen, Vancouver, WA - August 24, 2025 Love this brewery. We were in our motorhome traveling south towards Silverton, Oregon, and it was time for lunch. Lucky for us on a Friday, they open at 11:30 AM. Other weekdays, they do open later. Great thing for us, there is pretty ample parking for a motorhome towing a car. There is a pretty good size gravel lot right next to the brewery. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender who took my drink order and gave me some menus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had our dog with us, so we had to sit outside on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were some pretty good shade spots at about noon from some trees. They do also have a few umbrellas, which would probably come in handy as the sun continues to move west.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a few tasters of their West Coast IPAs and my wife ordered a flight of ciders. I liked all the beers I tried, especially the Transend IPA. My wife especially liked the barrel aged cider and the blackberry cider.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The beer and outdoor seating during the summer is great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am chilling in January 2026 having the chips and salsa. Chips need more salt. Salsa needs something, maybe fresher looking? It is alright but kind of average and a weird blended look

Stopped in for lunch around noon on a Saturday. Interesting location, behind Chuck's Produce. It's kind of an industrial looking area. The outside seating was okay, but some table umbrellas would be nice. There are a couple of young trees that provided some shade. It's really in need of flower planters and maybe some string lighting?! It was a very uninviting patio off a gravel lot. It was clean, just no color or ambiance. We came inside and were greeted by a young lady behind the counter. There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived, so they were not too busy. We ended up ordering the pastrami style burger ($17.50) and one of their current specials, the grilled chicken Caesar wrap ($17.50). My hubby also ordered a pint of their Transgression beer ($6). He really enjoyed the flavor and even ordered another one! The food was good, and the ingredients were fresh. My hubby really enjoyed his burger and beer. Service was a little slow during the ordering process. You order at the counter, they give you a number, then bring you your food. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. Prices are comparable to other like establishments. Overall, it was a nice first experience. We would probably try the downtown location next time as their outdoor seating area looks nicer.

Oh Heathen, you have a special part in my heart. You're more than just the neighborhood watering hole. You are a place where good times are had, a place where you can relieve stress, you are a place for people to gather and enjoy each others company! Food- Phenomenal, I would go on a limb and say best brewery food in town. I would review a specific meal but all are good. They make a mean Philly, all burgers are great, and shoot what isn't good there? Ambiance- this spot is a bit different than the Ferral house downtown. This is where the beer is actually made. I'm a sucker for a drinking a beer in the middle of where it was made Service- counter service but the best in the business. Careful they might crack a joke! Bottom line- it doesn't get much better than this. Go!

    Breakfast taco

This is our second time to eat at this restaurant. I remember having a good meal the first time when I ordered the fish tacos. But this morning was Saturday brunch and I had the breakfast tacos, which were stuffed high with egg and topped with pico and cheese. Two tacos was more than enough for me. The ahi tuna was cooked perfectly, ample portion, coated with sesame seeds. Good cabbage and a large bun. Staff was helpful checking on the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables outside have umbrellas and the side doors were up so the inside was also open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a big screen for the sports fans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken Strips- cooked very well & chicken itself was not overdone

Met up for dinner at this place that's less than 5 mins (near Chucks Produce). Very quick service, plenty of in door and outdoor seating (dog friendly). Quite the selection of beer. They have a brunch that I plan on checking out soon...check it out yourself

Pagani, an amazing Italian style pilsner from Heathen Brewing!
    Alden C.

Yes, Heathen Brewing is still as awesome as ever! I've been to the Feral Public House several years ago and loved it but I've never been to this taproom until just recently. The beer is still as good as ever. I bought some of the Pagani which is their Italian style Pilsner and have really enjoyed it. I've been commenting several times to Steve that we need an Italian Pilsner to go with an Italian dish. Well Steve made two Italian dishes and we happened to have this Pilsner still in the house so that particular dream came true. Italian pilsners are just fine standing on their own but having it with an Italian dish makes it all the more special. Always love Heathen's saying of "Progressive Ales For The Promiscuous Palate". Plenty to love with that slogan for any beer geek or foodie.

Great Food, Great beer!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great hang-out spot!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But they need to Change music selection and/or turn it down!! It's obviously chosen for the server NOT the customers!! It's actually off-putting and shortens your desire to hangout![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It would be a 5-star review if they would have more chill music and vibe!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Basic breakfast with biscuit and side of amazing gravy, Veggie hash.

He enjoys playing dj with his curated music, which also had merit, but again was too loud for a weekday lunch. I'm not an old fart, (I think he and I were close to the same age) but old enough to have lost some hearing in my youth, and it was still a bit loud. The pork rinds were good, surprisingly generous and tasted very fresh. I liked the Tajin on them, but would have preferred it to be an option (shaker on the table) rather than just full coverage. I would have shared them, but the person I was dining with doesn't care do the spice. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger with the sauce on the side and it was a generous portion, that was well-cooked. Just the way I ordered it! That being said, the beef was relatively tasteless and the whole sandwich was extremely greasy. The bacon on the sandwich was plentiful and not as greasy as the burger and cheese. I don't know the fries would be seasoned. It may or may not have been on the menu, I honestly can't recall. The place seemed well kept and customer oriented, food service wise, but the ambiance could be dialed down for the lunch crowd. If there was an alternate burger available nearby, I might not give Brothers a second chance. But I can't hate on it. Just a few too many flaws for the price, which was not cheap. Paying over $5 for a Mexican Coke was pretty steep since I didn't see any fountain options. But lastly, too be fair, the bartender was VERY kind!

There are more tables too, both normal height and high tops. They've also added a pool table and cornhole, in addition to the original ping pong table. Their menu has evolved as well. In addition to pizzas, sandwiches and appetizers, they've added a Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese, spinach artichoke dip and ice cream floats. They have a nice variety of beers and ciders. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We love their QR code ordering system. It helps you get your food faster and you can just pay your tab on your phone. Such a convenience! You can also make reservations online, which is great for large parties. As others have mentioned, it is located in an odd industrial area set back from the main road. It's easy to miss if you're not watching for their sign. There's plenty of parking and a large outdoor seating area during the summer. Their food prices have gone up, and some items seem a little steep now, but that seems to be happening everywhere nowadays.

Consistently great food, top notch service, no matter the day or time. Honestly, just make the simple decision to keep your hard earned money and skip Goon Burger / Irrelevant Beer. This "goon" burger only qualifies as a burger in some chaotic South Park fantasy. It looks like they really dropped it on the floor and called it a concept. The fries? Sad, soggy, barely seasoned, and completely forgettable. Now the best part: the hipster staff at both places. They take themselves very seriously. One of their newer employees, clearly aiming for Employee of the Month, decided to stop me while I was literally grabbing my food and leaving, just to tell me, in a smug tone, that next time I can't bring my dog. The funny part. I was already outside waited for my food away from patrons, then I grabbed my food, and was leaving right away. What exactly was the problem? Did my calm, happy dog disrupt the sacred burger experience? I laughed and said we'll see about that. You don't just randomly enforce a rule like that and talk to customers like that. I've been there plenty of times before with no issue. But apparently, after a very important team meeting about dogs they had just yesterday, they have decided that, even "pickup customers" can't have their dogs with them. Mate, you could have just said "hey, can you tie him outside next time?" Easy. Human. Instead, you went full authority mode over a mid burger spot. I won't be going back, not because I will miss anything, but because of that attitude. When people blindly follow rules without basic common sense, it just gets sad. Anyway once again, Brothers Cascadia Brewery. Two minute drive, ten minute walk. Just go.

Over the course of our experiences we have had eight different beers at this point and time and we have enjoyed them all very much! There is a neighboring coffee shop that is actually right next door called Relevant Coffee and I imagine it's the same owners doing both coffee and beer at two different locations. I bought a coffee bag of Relevant Coffee for us to enjoy at home and it was quite good! You can buy coffee bags at the brewery also which is where I bought mine. And now onto the beer! As I said currently I have had eight different beers and I will go into detail as to what I thought about each one I had. 1) Living Eulogy is a Bock beer which was something I don't normally am able to get a hold of so getting one was definitely a priority. In this flavor profile you can detect notes of chocolate, coffee, sweetness and creaminess. It is also a fairly thick beer. 2) The Pocket Symphony is an American style IPA and was nice and refreshing with it's melony, hoppy, fruity and crisp flavor characteristics. I considered this beer to be very, very solid. 3) A favorite of mine was the Sundressed and I rated quite high on Untappd. This was a Witbier which I do love getting. These wheat based beers are so tasty even though sometimes the gluten comes back and may bite me later. the flavor of these beers are so blissful which is why it's one of my favorites. Flavors to have fun finding in the flavor profile are maltiness, citrus and coriander. This beer goes down nice and smooth! 4) Inner Song is another IPA I had. This time out it was a black IPA or a Cascadian Black Ale as some call it. I do love these kinds of beers! At first in our brewery adventures this IPA type was kind of hard to find but they seem to be a bit more common now. The flavors in this beer are malty, roasty, floral and some notes of coffee. This beer is also very aromatic. 5) Dark Ambient was another beer we delved into... this time a Vienna Lager. A type of lager that Steve and I both like quite a bit. Perhaps not our most favorite lager type but that didn't hold me back in giving this beer a very high rating on Untappd and it becoming one of my favorites. Flavors to enjoy in this beer are caramel, toastiness, herbal aspects, some fruitiness along with a dry finish. 6) The Relative Strangers lager was another lager we thought very highly of... seems like a trend here with this brewery and being very, very fond of their lagers. Well, it's completely justifiable as the lagers from Irrelevant are great! In this beer flavor features to enjoy are coffee, caramel, roasty, malty and coffee. 7) Mediocre Love is an IPA we had at one point from our beer experiences here. It's a good, solid IPA and is very refreshing! Look for fruitiness and a presence of peach. 8) The final beer was the Shrimp Fried Rice. This was another IPA of the New England sort and was very nice and refreshing. Flavors to partake in this flavor profile are juicy, tropical and some sweetness. The beer is smooth and soft in body. I realize describing some of the flavor features in all these beers there is quite a few of the same flavor elements in the beer... like coffee or roastiness but despite those flavor characteristics being in more than one beer you can certainly tell the difference between those that do share common characteristics so don't think that finding one element of flavor in one beer over another is going to blur together as to what beer you are drinking and if you can distinguish the difference... you certainly can!

Well, first off the location is just a little strange as it seems like it's kind of an a residential type of neighborhood /business area? But really that's not a complaint just an observation. We got there early on a Saturday night before it was crowded which means we had the time to look around and observe how cool this place was. They do have a stage where they can have live music play and also do karaoke. We were there too early for either of those, but it's cool to know that they have it there. They have lots of video screens and TV monitors around where heavy metal videos are being played, which is awesome! Plenty of long solid thick wood tables to sit at for large groups, which is great. Also lots of pub tables that sit high. They also have outdoor seating for those warm summer evenings. They have a couple of pinball machines there which we played after ordering our food. Even a can holder on the side to hold your beer while you are being a pinball wizard. They have lots of their own special craft beers on tap that they brew themselves . In fact, one of them was so good that I bought a four pack of it to take home with me! The service there was great. The two guys that were there were very friendly and helpful. One of the guys' names was Kevin and he was very personable, however, both the guys were really awesome! Now for the good part..the pizza! We ordered two medium pizzas. One medium taco pizza, and one medium double pepperoni pizza. The double pepperoni pizza was hands-down the best pepperoni pizza I have ever had. You could actually taste the garlic in the crust, which doesn't happen with other pizza places. Th Taco Pizza was also fantastic as well. Our family of three dang near eat both pizzas. We had just a few slices left over to take home and enjoy plus the four pack of their specialty craft beer that I bought. We will definitely be returning again!
