Carne asada taco, cheese enchilada , rice and refried beans.

Taqueria Don Jose food truck. Lunch today at Vancouver Station food carts. The station is very nicely laid out with indoor seating as well as outdoor seats even with fireplace tables. Don Jose truck however, was just so-so. Rice tasted like right out of a box, and the refried beans lacked any flavor at all. Carne asada taco was flavorful but slightly overcooked. Cheese enchilada not melted and came with very little, but good tasting sauce. I wont be back, but I also tried a carne asada taco and carnitas taco from "Don Luna?" food truck across from it, and they both had exceptional flavors !

Spent the evening here with some drinks by the fire pit. More trucks are opening each day. Staff is frequently walking around to collect glasses and clean up. Loved the chill vibes and the ample seating. The staff inside was super friendly and helpful as we chose drinks. The arcade is $2 per play on everything. But there is a free space for kids with a kitchen and some toys. In addition to the bar, they have ice cream and coffee inside. Food trucks as of today included multiple taco trucks, schwarma, Thai, chicken and waffles, poke, a halal truck with a lot of gluten free options, bobalicious, and a spot with a burgers/hot dogs type selection. And don't forget the dirty sodas. It's coming together. Parking was crowded. But they will get there. It's worth checking out.

Good amount of food just wish the broccoli was soft enough to chew and had more flavor. Was bland.

Super nice, clean open space. Some food carts that were open are Thai food, poke, ice cream, chicken and waffles and I believe a taco food cart. We ate at the chicken and waffles place which was good. Also ordered pad kee mao at the Thai place. I was a bit disappointed. For $17.40 I don't think it was worth it. The broccoli was hard and hard to chew and lacked flavor. We also tried the soft serve that's located inside the station. Prices were reasonable but don't recommend the matcha flavor. It also had no flavor and did not taste like matcha. Would I come back? Possibly when they get more trucks. I would like to try the beers located in the food station. Would be perfect for a nice sunny summer day.

Food cart density will be insane.

To start, I don't think all of these food cart vendor spaces will ever get filled and if they do, there's going to be problems. Say they can hit saturation at 44 food carts, will they come? Say they come. There's not going to be enough parking, this is a shared lot with a ton of other businesses and I'm going to bet most people will drive not walk there, this is murica. The men's bathroom has 2 urinals and 1 toilet to satisfy 44 food carts worth of patrons. The food carts are going to literally be a couple feet from each other. That makes it very hard for the food cart owners to do their thing. Now you can't have anything but a front facing back loading cart and they haven't given enough space in many cases for any of this. Consider the fire risk alone stacking carts full of propane next to each other. Go there when it's pouring and see how well they've covered you outside as you order and wait. As for the inside, it's boring and big but unlikely big enough if this place hits the stride it was built for. Also, no napkins on the shared tables, cmon guys. The stagging negligence to detail has me thinking not only did they not get it right for a soft launch but they won't adjust for the real deal. I ate at the waffle cart which was a sandwich of two chicken tenders on store bought white bread buns with so much peanut sauce the bread was soaked through before I finished. Good luck Vancouver station! Hopefully just throwing a lot of crappy food carts at the situation will improve things. If you want an example of how to do this model well, go to the troutdale food carts. High quality carts with enough space between them, better indoor communal area, covered spaces outside to wait for your food, more parking, still crap bathrooms but still much better. This is not the model, The couve can do better. But by all means go give it a try once. I give it less than a year.

Let me tell you about my culinary adventure to a little food cart called the GF Grill. When Oak…read moreTree Station first opened up, I was on a mission searching for gluten-free options. I approached various spots, eagerly asking, "Do you have anything gluten-free?" And the reply was a gentle but firm "Not today, my friend!" I left feeling like I'd just missed the last bus to Flavor Town. But then my friends chimed in and said, "Hang tight! There's now a place called Gluten-Free Grill!" My heart skipped a beat, it was like finding out there's a secret stash of candy hidden in your grandma's kitchen! So off we went, and I entered the establishment with the kind of excitement usually reserved for unearthing treasures. The service? They were as friendly as a puppy in a room full of squeaky toys! With eager smiles, they were happy to answer any questions and find out the answers I needed. So off we went! I entered the establishment with the kind of excitement usually reserved for finding a $20 bill in an old jacket pocket. Now, let's talk about the menu. They do love their spices, including the infamous paprika, which, sadly, is off my personal menu because of my dietary restrictions. Apparently God has a sense of humor. But!!! No worries, I was thrilled to dig into some steak bites. I was able to choose how I wanted them cooked. You could have it from juicy delicious to literally what they call boot leather. Has me cracking up. Finally, my taste buds were back online. "I'll take it medium rare," I said, feeling like the king of the castle. And those steak bites? Yum! They were pretty good! Then came the French fries, not just any fries, my friends. They arrived in a clamshell pretty big! I mean, you can never have too much potato goodness! with my steak, making a duo more dynamic than Batman and Robin. Steak and potatoes. + = Now, if you're gluten-free and just want to pop in, I hope you're down with paprika! If not, fear not, there's plenty more to try. But I need a dedicated foodie out there to try the mac & cheese, chicken strips, and onion rings on my behalf. Seriously, I can't eat them, so sacrifice yourself for the greater good! The ambiance. Picture this: an outdoor cafeteria vibe where you can mingle with people and feel like you're at a high school reunion, but with less awkwardness and more fries. So, to sum it up: if you're on the gluten-free train, the Gluten-Free Grill is your next stop. Now get out there and eat some chicken strips with some mac & cheese for me, will ya
