I am always complimented on my hair color ( I change it from season to season) and have never had ANY breakage or issues. ( only time I had breakage was after c0vid- like most people. But that was the virus causing it, not my hair salon). I have noticed that stylists who don't do fabulous work don't stay there long. The salon owner is amazing! Honest, talented, caring, and one of the hardest working people I know. Of the few poor reviews I see here, there are a ton of 5 star reviews on other sites, and they have hundreds of loyal and VERY happy clients for years, just like me. If you spend as much time there as I have, you'd notice how beautiful and happy everyone is when they leave. No one is ever perfect 100 percent of the time, but they sure come close. First of all, Vertrice specializes in short hair, which is fine with me because I've been sporting short hairdos for over 10 years now! I am very particular about those who cut my hair because not everyone can cut and style short hair! Vertrice can do both! While she might have cut my hair a little shorter than I expected it still came out very well! It's going to work out perfectly for my trip to the Bahamas; short, sassy and low maintenance! Then she took another client during my appointment. Everyone is right about the attitude and lack of friendliness. As cold and unwelcoming as possible. She wouldn't cut my hair despite the fact I had an appointment and said it looked fine as it was. Um, no. It was uneven, straggly and my bangs were way too long. She said she hates bangs -- what kind of hairdresser won't work with bangs when the client obviously looks better with them? She said that because I was considering extensions that it would be best to wait until I got them to cut my hair but I didn't say I 100% was get extensions, I wanted more information from the consult but absolutely wanted and needed a haircut regardless. And worse yet, she only puts them in and makes clients go to the store to buy them and remove them on their own. For $250 that's a lot of diy. And she'll only put in tape extensions so if you're interested in other types go elsewhere. I did a lot of research and spoke to people who had them and decided against it. Part of their hair fell out when the tape extensions were removed -- both professionally and at home using the recommendation product. The salon is tiny and no frills. She might give good haircuts but I wouldn't know. The next day I had my haircut properly and it looks a million times better with a proper trim. Wouldn't recommend Silver Fox based on my terrible experience. What a waste of my time and gas.
