It's a quiet section of lake with perfect access to the chain of lakes great for boating, skiing etc. there's a convenient boat rental place right up the lake too. We will definitely be back.

They have a boat launch and docks with boat rentals and a variety of water craft that require human power to move. The owners are super friendly and have something going on all week long to help if the fishing is slow. A last minute phone call to a very accommodating owner made for a happy night with a warm shower, hot meal, cold beer and soft bed possible. The cabins are right off the trail so super convenient. The owners were super friendly and accommodating. The resort is at the very east end of the lake in a calm, quiet bay. Our grandkids had a blast especially with the water trampoline, carpet ball, fishing and swimming, s'mores and campfires. Lots to do for adults but we liked napping, reading and fishing the most and late night games of Farkle. I particularly liked the fact that there were no speed boats or jet skis anywhere on the lake that I could see. We just got home two days ago and tonight we made our reservations for next year. These owners are super nice people and beyond fair in their dealings. Free K-cup coffee and popcorn in the office, they actually bring popcorn to you most evenings as you sit around the campfire. Free donuts, juice, and coffee by the lake your first morning there. A fun "holey-board" tourney is a highlight. The only complaints about this place I have ever heard are by entitled folks who don't believe in parking boat trailers in the provided parking area and are otherwise rude rule-breakers in general! Rules are there to protect both the owner and you. The owners are NOT sticklers and will work with you. We rented a window A/C and they didn't charge us because it ended up being a cool week and we only ran it a couple days. The grounds are well-maintained. The driveway and area around the office are paved, so my granddaughter had a blast riding her scooter. Cabins are quite nice, spacious, and comfortable with nice kitchens... no slackers here. Newer cabins are VERY nice, and some have central air. Volleyball, playground, and a very large lawn for games. They have boats available, including pontoons. There are several docks and a swimming beach with lots of water toys. The lake isn't really big, so that means you don't wake up in the morning to jet-skis! Very quiet place, and they even have nesting bald eagles. Very close to Nevis and a nice drive to Park Rapids for shopping or to Walker for shopping and the casino. This is infinitely better than our previous resort home, both in ownership and in overall amenities.

Our cabin was Birchwood, it was as perfect as we could expect. 2 recliners are a rarities in a cabin. I tend to sleep better in them so I realy appreciated having the option. Plenty of room for 6 adults and a couple kids The screened in porch was huge and perfect for gaming. The weather was chilly but that's the risk of mid to late August. The owners were very accommodating and pleasant to work with. The beach is full of toys and playground activity as well as room for yard games and volleyball and the private campfires. Very relaxing My only suggestion would be a better game room for those rainy or cold days. Ice hockey, foosball, pinball or pool table, stuff like that but otherwise... It was a great time with our children Highly recommend this resort. This is the first-time we have reserved again. It"a hard to find all the accomodations to meet everyone's needs and this one did
