Don't be misled that there's a Lost Lake Lodge hotel and also a restaurant - it's open to the public and worth a visit! Note: I've never stayed there, only eaten at the restaurant. I've eaten at the restaurant a few times, and the entrees are excellent. The cocktails are creative and delicious. The only drawback so far: salads. They could do so much more! The ambiance is sweet, with the lake sparkling in the background. And the service is spectacular! Attentive and with a smile. Worth a visit!

Lost Lake Lodge restaurant excels at service. Friendly hostesses met us at the entrance and went ahead to offer superb table service. Our waitress was impressively attentive and engaging. The food was outstanding. My Grouper was cooked to perfection, although the creamy, all' onda saffron risotto accompanying it stole the show. Sadly, my partner's Walleye was irredeemably under-seasoned. The star of the entire meal was by far the Chateaubriand platter. The steak medallion with peppercorn and aupa sauce was the stuff of culinary genius. I recommend making reservations beforehand as it seems to be a popular spot around the lake especially on long weekends.

So bad we left a day early. Below is how in need of a paint job our cabin was in. Hammering and drilling started at 6:30 AM Friday and sawing Saturday morning at 7:00. Dish went out so no TV, all of the game equipment was broken or deflated. Shower had an adjustable shower attachment that was unmovable. Just disgusting.

I enjoyed my stay here in the fall, end of October. The grounds were quiet and not a lot of cabins were rented. We enjoyed cabin 5B. Lake views, wood burning fireplace and plenty of outdoor seating on the deck. There was also a wood box with wood, kindling and newspaper for the fireplace. This unit had 2 queen beds in a bedroom and it had a Murphy bed in the living room. Beds and linens were comfortable. The room clearer did a courtesy stop by to see if we needed anything Sunday afternoon. The Direct TV provided comforts of home. They have a 4c coffee maker, microwave and small fridge. Towels are provided. We walked the grounds and saw the private beach, playground and b-ball hoop. There was a big shed "Harry's Garage" with arcade games and a pool table near the beach. There is plenty of docks and dock space to bring your boat. I will be back in the summer to enjoy this little gem!

My wife and I visited this past weekend. Having tried other resorts in the Brainerd Lakes area we wanted to try something different so we booked with Lost Lake Lodge. We were impressed as soon as we arrived! We were welcomed by Laura at the front desk who treated us as if we were family, not lodge guests. After we settled into our cabin we walked back to the lodge for dinner where we were greeted by Chef Brian and his staff who were extremely accomidating. During our entire visit the food was never just "okay". It was consistently incredible! Chef Brian could probably cook an old tire and make it taste amazing! We had a great time during our pontoon rental, and found ourselves with plenty to do. During our downtime it was just nice to sit on the patio next to our cabin and stare at the lake. Had a wonderful time and we will certainly be back soon!!!

Having four families together made it especially meaningful. We filled the days with winter walks, ice skating, swimming and hot tubbing in both the upper and lower pools, bingo nights, and a great family dinner at the Northwoods Pub. Simple moments, shared memories. The lodges themselves are perfect for larger families--a common dining and gathering space with four bedrooms that comfortably sleep 12-14 people. Everything is well thought out and easy. There's adequate food on site, great amenities, and in the summer the ice cream shop is always a hit. What stood out most, though, was the care from the staff and management. We experienced a family emergency during our stay, and they went above and beyond to help us. That kind of care makes a place feel more than just a resort, it feels like people actually see you. We're already grateful for the memories and looking forward to coming back

We love the outdoor hot tub that is really 3 hot tubs together making for plenty of space. Feels great in 1degree weather. The indoor pool, hot tub and water slide are also a fun attraction. The first year we came here they had a breakfast buffet which was awesome but the last time they did not offer it and only had a pre fix menu with a couple buffet style options. The complimentary s'mores are a nice touch and there are a few on site dining options available. It was quiet and secluded on off peak times but not all of the amenities are available. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable. Would love to check out during summer ours to experience more of the amenities!

Upon booking, I received a personal email of staff reaching out to make sure I noted waterpark hours. What a great touch! When we arrived the front desk staff was very friendly and the room was nice and clean. I enjoyed my sleep in the king size bed and thought it was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in recently. I also enjoyed the fact that they have a fridge and microwave. The waterpark happened to be open around the time we arrived so we made our way down to explore. Unfortunately we had a freak accident happen and my kiddo needed a trip to the ER. I was hands down impressed with how great the lifeguard, Kaya, on staff was. She came over right away and made sure things were handled well and guided me when I might not have been thinking in the most proper way. I'm still blown away at how calm and caring she was. I'm really hoping staff sees this review as well and gives her the praise that she should have! Even with the incident, we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back another time when we can fully enjoy it all! Tip: they even have a small arcade for the kiddos on floor #2. Perfect size for kids to check-out! Comfy beds, nice rooms, breakfast each morning, a nice renovated and beautiful waterpark, all close to so many restaurants and stores. This place is great! Thank you for a memorable stay- we're hoping to come back and do it right the next time!

Our experience at AmericInn at Pequot Lakes definitely exceeded our expectations!…read more My husband had mediocre to poor experiences at other AmericInn locations, but there were really no other choices if we wanted to stay in the Pequot Lakes area. I expected a dumpy outdated hotel with bare minimum comfort. I was hoping only for a clean room, not much more. When we arrived, we walked into a beautiful rustic lobby. Peaceful music was playing and a fire was dancing in the gas hearth fireplace. The feel of a cabin in the woods, yet clean, spacious, and very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was VERY clean, including the corners in the bathroom and other often-overlooked places. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice-sized. One nice perk....our room window had screens and we could open the window to enjoy the fresh, cool breeze. Even though the hotel was full of guests and we know there were children (we saw them passing in the hallway) the hotel was extremely quiet. No sound of slamming doors, running, voices....nothing. We stayed 2 nights and it was quiet both nights. The breakfast was above the quality we usually experience at hotels. Everything was fresh and hot. Seemed that the quality/taste of the food was better than usual too. Eggs appeared to be "real" eggs, not powdered. There was a nice selection of breads, including gluten free and the local favorite....wild rice cranberry. Everything was clean and well-stocked. There were some healthier choices for those who are calorie conscious. The coffee was a lot better than most hotel coffees. The breakfast room was spacious and had a little table for children. There were some children using that table when we were there, and they were thrilled to have their own little place to sit. There was a nice sized grassy area adjacent to the hotel, which also had a playground. This is a nice bonus for guests with children. We did not use the pool, but it looked to be nice-sized and well-maintained. There was also a pool table. My husband used the exercise room, and he said that the machines were in good shape and not broken like most hotel machines are. There was a gas BBQ grill and a fire pit available in the area just outside the breakfast room. We hoped to use those, and enjoy an evening by the fire, but the wind kicked up, and changed our plans. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area!
