    Red velvet cupcake and cannolis.

A slice of Heaven. The red velvet cupcake was the best I have ever had. I will make I stop again on my way to Springfield. The staff was super helpful. I wish I lived closer so I could visit on a regular bases!

Visit this bakery! Not only is the staff wonderful, nice, helpful but the sweets are amazing. We first heard of them through a friend who delivers to the Marines at the Army base nearby. We have bought some for our son stationed there and he and his friends LOVE getting the sweets. Cannolis, truffles, giant cupcakes are great from personal trial. My son loves the cookies and cinnamon rolls. They also offer cookie cakes and refusal cakes. Even if you don't eat here, maybe order something to send to the Marines training at FLW and make their day!

Went there to try their peanut butter bread pudding, I was not disappointed! Definitely will be going back for another one.

Delicious and creative desserts, friendly owner, and just an overall great bakery to come visit if you're in the area. Highly recommend!

I had eaten there with my daughter, about ten years ago, which is WAY too long. I used to buy their 'Take and Bake' Pies at Harter House, but my local store no longer carries them. They've always been good. Why did it take me so long to come back? I'm usually traveling with my husband and he prefers BBQ or a burger when we're traveling. I'm glad I mentioned it Saturday, when we were looking for a place to eat lunch! We all loved it so much that we ate there again the next day, on our way home. Between us, we tried both kinds of Chicken Pot Pie (Traditional and Mushroom), the Chicken Salad on Croissant, the Tomato Soup, and the Bacon Quiche. Each entree was served with two hot rolls. I didn't have room for the rolls, but those who did said they were good. Dessert? You may have to take it with you, but they're packaged well. The quiche reheats well in the microwave. Those who tried it said it was the best quiche ever, and ordered it again the second day, so I took a piece home to try. I haven't tried my Cherry Raspberry yet, but the others said the Coconut Cream (whipped cream) and Custard were wonderful. I did try one of his cinnamon/sugar pie crust cookies. They tasted just like my mama used to make. He said he's planning to sell those at the Harter House Stores in the Springfield area, so I'll be looking for them. He's also bringing a truck to Harter House in Springfield on Eastgate, occasionally, so I'll be watching their Facebook Page so I can buy a piece of pie without going to Rolla. Good pie crust makes a pie, and luckily, you can find them in the freezer case at Harter House and Price Cutter Stores. Look for "Mickey's Pie Crust", ready to put in the oven and bake.

This review is for the cafe here and not for the grocery store: I was surprised with the number of options: diner foods (burgers, fries), Chinese, BBQ, fried chicken, etc. We got an orange chicken meal with fried rice and an egg roll for $5.99. I would bet the container weighed close to 2.5lbs. The food was good. We also got 2 chicken tenders for $4. The breading was very soft and the kids didn't even finish them. I also added 3 Icees to our order and paid around $15 total. Other people in our ground got fried chicken meals and burgers/fries. Staff were friendly. All in all, it was ok. It didn't knock my socks off but was ok for the money.

We was there on Friday Dec 19 around 3pm. We had never actually eaten in the store. Someone told us the burgers are good. So we decided to order. First off the boy who took our order wasn't very friendly, and acted like he would rather be anywhere but there helping us. After placing our order, we sat down in the eating area. I just want to say, we was shocked. We would've just left if we hadn't already paid for food. There was only 4 other people there sitting. All of the unoccupied tables (including the one we sat at over by the wall next to the soda machine), were dirty with trash, and food crumbs. Even the chairs had food crumbs in them. The counter where the cook handed us our food was covered in food crumbs, and food residue. The cook didn't even act like he cared. He just sat our food on top of it all. We watched him cooking our food, and he was acting like he didn't even want to be there. Our napkin dispenser was covered in dust, and even had some kind of dried food on it. The whole time we were there, there was between 2 and 4 boys standing around behind the counter/register doing nothing. And we even witnessed the cook picking a dish towel up off the counter and wiping his forehead off with it, and then laying it back down on the counter! Something needs to be done about this! The whole area was dirty, and unsanitary. I will say that the rest of the store was clean, but we absolutely will not be spending our money in the hot food area again! Also I tried to contact them through the store email contact on their website 3 different times since then. Every time I try it says unable to send, try again later. We had burgers and onion rings. The onion rings were good, but the burgers were overcooked and crispy on the bottom.
