I went with chicken salad sandwich and chips. It's the fancy kind with dried cranberries and slivered almonds. I took several cupcakes home to share and try with family. My favorite was the hummingbird cake. I haven't had this in such a long time. They did a great job with this one. The cake is perfectly moist with a generous dollop of cream cheese frosting. We tried a few other flavors and found them all to be delicious. If cupcakes aren't your jam, they offer a wide variety of sweet treats. There's a reasonably sized coffee as well. I had to go down the hallway to find them to get the rest of my order. They were in a side room staring at their phones. This is a drive through only coffee, tea, and energy drink spot. They have a ton of flavors to make unique combinations. We told the girl it was our first time and asked what she recommended. I wanted coffee and she immediately went to their Blonde, Brunette, or her favorite which was an iced coffee with salted caramel, vanilla, and white chocolate. I decided to try the later without the white chocolate. My fiancé got a hot chai with flavors she sped through so quick, I can't recall now. Our items were ready in minutes and we were told to have a nice day before we even paid. We kindly mentioned and they looked embarrassed. Both items were EXTREMELY sugary and sweet. Coffee was almost white. Note to self, try way less flavors next time and trust my instincts on what I'd like.

Tucked away in an inconspicuous strip center, Foods for Health has had surprisingly good business for many years considering it's Rolla and Wal-Mart is only half a mile down the road. That said, the products at Foods for Health might be twice the cost of what you'd pay at Wal-Mart but you'll be supporting a local business and buying products made by smaller and probably more socially responsible companies. Half of the store is groceries and nutritional supplements where you can find bulk-packaged dried beans, canned goods, cereals, nuts, dried fruit, flours, frozen foods, local eggs and cheese, vegan cheese and ice cream, and every possible health supplement you could want. The other half consists of books on health and diet issues, cosmetics, and toiletries. Foods for Health also provides massage services which I think you need to do by appointment. And if you're turned off by the higher prices, go there after Christmas when they have a 10% sale. They also accept SNAP benefits (food stamps).
