Not a lot of fanfare with decor and I found the lighting to be a bit dim but it didn't impair the braiders. There's a single television that loudly broadcasts religious content or African movies that I found to be easy to follow along with the plot. Thus far, two different ladies braided my hair. I complimented a lady in the grocery store and she gave me their business card. Their prices are lower than some other braid salons I've gone to and there aren't a lot of people waiting around. It appears that they have shampoo bowls if you want them to wash your hair before braid services. However, for many protective styles, I recommend you wash your hair thoroughly, deep condition to avoid damage. A braiding gel is applied but speak up if you feel like too much is being added making your hair feel bogged down by product. Many have issues with the parting of the hair, again, speak up and ask to see what's going on so that you're happy with your style. The lady who braided my hair had one braid higher than the others and when I pointed it out to her, she accommodated me without debate. DO NOT wait until the very end to complain about your hair if you've been watching all along. It's unfair to the braider and it can be resolved by pointing out what you're unhappy about. I would come back here to get my hair braided again as I have been pleased thus far. Take a photo of the style to help with your braid vision.

I am so happy I came here!! The staff were friendly from the start. Jocelyn did and washed my hair. She washed the heck outta my hair and it needed it. I didn't mind at all.
