It was frustrating, because I really didn't want my family to have to deal with "much" during this trying time. (e.g., didn't want my dog's body in the garage overnight). A veterinary colleague recommended "Pets Remembered Cremation Service" and I had an amazing experience. They were super responsive, had clear communication in a time of grief, and had an after hours fee which allowed me to drop off my dog's body at a time that worked for us. When I got there, they were so compassionate and empathetic, and really treated my dog's body with respect. I really appreciated the space (e.g., grieving room) and them greeting me at the door with guerney (with blankets and a pillow on it). I got my dog's ashes back the next day and the presentation was beautiful - a beautiful bag, temporary cardboard tube for his ashes, and the most heartwarming nose print and paw print memorial. Rather than CALLING ME to see if it was okay with moving forward, they ABORTED the babies and then CHARGED ME FOR IT. I have never been so frustrated, disappointed and sad ever. This is just pure animal cruelty. They should have called me to confirm if it was okay (I would have NEVER EVER said yes.) and not only that, they charged me an additional fee for something I would have NOT okayed. DO NOT GO HERE.
