Our little dragon princess Zarbon passed away a week ago. She was a bearded dragon and our little girl. We were - and still are - heartbroken from her passing so we knew that we had to find a well-respected crematory to handle her final needs. My husband's brother had taken his well-loved dog there upon his passing and the folks at Heavenly Wings had done a splendid job. The dog's ashes are in a beautiful urn in a cherished spot in their family room. We called and set an appointment for the same day our girl passed away. When we arrived for our appointment, we found a welcoming chapel-like entryway where we laid our girl while we made arrangements for her cremation. The staff was so sweet and thoughtful. Robin gently walked us through the process, options, cost, and when we could expect to get our girl's cremains. We picked our dragon princess's ashes up on the day we were told to expect them and they had been beautifully sealed in a lovely tin with a sympathetic note from the staff. A tiny amount of ash is locked in a beautiful necklace with a bejeweled cylinder that my husband wears around his neck now so our girl will always be close to him. When we picked up our girl's ashes, the staff members remarked how cute she was in the purple cape and wizard's hat we had clad her in when we were preparing her for her final trip, the one to Heavenly Wings Pet Cremation. Like any other pet, the time came for my lovely bearded dragon Zarbon to ascend to her next life. It was a difficult for me and my husband to lose our dragon daughter. For me it was my first time losing a pet/daughter so I was very heartbroken. What wasn't difficult was Heavenly Wings Pet Cremation. Their process was so simple. We were able to set a last minute appointment 30 minutes prior to closing. The interior was immaculate. It was warm and inviting with a lot of love put in. I knew upon setting foot that this was the perfect place to entrust Zarbon to. We were welcomed with open arms. The spirit of all the staff reflect their gentle souls and their passion to be their for our time of need. They treated Zarbon with the respect and dignity that she deserves. The appointment didn't take long. I was able to pick out a lovely pendant that would eventually house a bit of Zarbon's ashes. Though no up-sales were ever forced. Any extras were never forced upon us and was completely up to us. Dropping her off we set Zarbon on their scale to weigh and despite closing in less than 30 minutes we were never rushed and were given as much time as we needed to say goodbye to Zarbon. One week later Zarbon was ready to come home. The care that was put into packaging everything was immaculate. I'm grateful that I was able to bring Zarbon to this lovely sanctuary. From the peaceful sanctuary to the gentle voice and souls of each staff member they have my gratitude. If I could give them 500 stars I would. We brought our deceased male beagle "Titus" there for cremation services. Once we received the remains we received a box with a pink ribbon around it (indicating a female breed) and a certificate that stated our dogs name was "Dottie." We called the business and they stated "the paperwork" must have gotten messed up but they said do not worry you have your dogs ashes. This place did nothing to reassure us that we had the remains of our dog but instead someone elses pet. They did nothing to rectify the situation and i now have (3) empty necklaces i was going to give to my daughters to carry his remains with them but they didnt want them because they didnt know if this was their dog or a strangers pet. This place brought our family misery, pain, and no assurances that the remains we received are in fact our dogs. Stay away, travel if you have too, go anywhere else but here. read more

Appreciated the rates and follow through to ensure my baby was taken care of and returned to me, including a numbered tag so they could be sure he was who he was the entire time. I'm grateful for these services. I don't give this 5 stars because I was a bit bummed that the paw print I ordered, and intended to have to get art made of his prints, was horribly smudged and unusable. I know it's hard to make prints with dead animal paws, because I used to do it at my old job, but I'd have appreciated a second try. Next time I'll opt for a real urn also. The tin makes me feel like I'm holding cookies. Thank you for taking care of my boy. I recommend private cremation. They send my pet here and by them I mean Salem emergency clinic them bastards, anyway first of all this place it's way overpriced and I asked for a paw print of my beloved Toby what I got back was a thing that looked like a kindergarten made. And the container where my beloved Toby's ashes came back to me was a tin that you find at a Dollar tree store. Do they not know that this are not just pets? They are part of our family I still cry when I think of him. Yet they charge me 166.00 for a 11 lbs. doggy I call the manager and she said there's nothing she can do. What I did do was I went to Hobblobby and bought a beautiful wood box for less than 4 bucks painted it, it even had a frame on top to put a picture of Toby It's better. We had just out our dog of 15 years down to rest at the local VCA, upon arrival to Heavenly Wings, we had to listen to the owner rant about how VCA had fired her for several complaints of people not getting their cremation timely, or at all. This carried on for over 10 minutes... meanwhile I dead dog was laying on a table in the next room. We filled out all of our paperwork there and left, and never heard from them again. We called in to check on the status and asked what happened and they had a completely different phone number associated with our account, and seemed very confused. We pricked up our pet and the tin the ashes is in is very cheaply made, the paw print doesn't even look like our dogs and is something that a child would make. This was an awful experience. Robyn only apologized on my Google review but never in person. They did not offer a discount or attempt to rectify the situation. We also did not ask, but I felt the right thing to do would have been for her to offer. read more

I recently said goodbye to my best friend. My vet told me that I could have him cremated and they told me they outsource to heavenly wings. I was distraught and didn't look into it and just agreed. Today I picked up my pups ashes and I cried. They took care of everything so wonderfully and beautifully. The ashes were delivered with a lovely note and a clay paw print, with a handwritten note on the back. It was so thoughtful and wonderful. Unfortunately after an amazing review I have to post a crappy one. I had the best service by the owner and told everyone about it. I had waited to order my dogs template for his expensive until I could find the right words. I'm interrupted during my work day by Robin her manager who tells me "they have Gunner and need to get him home." I have three more things to order because I promised my family. If I hadn't believe me I wouldn't!. I told her to call me back when the owner was back from vacation because frankly I liked her bedside manner much more. Unfortunately went from a ten out of ten for me this today. I'll have my friend call and finish my order for me and pick Gunner up. I realize I was unfair. And I wanna own it when that happens. The first time I went in the owner helped me and it was the most AMAZING experience I've ever had with death. Then I got a call from the manager and ( I realize now) the words from her phone call hit me wrong in my grief because I was hurting. In honestly, she didn't say anything wrong or callous or even in a wrong tone, but I was hurt and posted a poor review. Since then though I keep reflecting on how well the owner treated me and when I look back on my experience bringing in my beloved Gunner it REALLY did bring me so much peace. I wanna clean it up and give them 5 stars. If I could remove the poor review I would. As my other dog gets up there in age and I think on this, I realize I'd really like to use their service again and I think that says something. I'd recommend them. And I was wrong to act in my grief. I loved the paw print urn but since he was just as much my Mom's dog as mine they offered up a solution of a smaller matching urn for a portion of Snoop's ashes to give to my Mom. Mixed review, because i've heard different stories. THE WORST came from my mom and brother, who went to pick up an animal's cremains in person and were treated like complete crap. Seriously. My own experience is fine, as our vet handles everything with them and we just pick up the cremains from them. read more

I called in the morning to see how much it would cost to cremate my cat that had just passed away and was give a price of $23.50 for a general cremation. After my friend picked my cat up to take her there for me I called to let them know he was coming and that I sent a check with him. I was told that it wasn't $23.50, but would be $58.60 instead as they don't like private individuals to drop animals off for general cremation. They sure didn't say that when I called earlier. So, I dropped my cat off at my vet's office for Heavenly Wings to come and pick up and it was only $17.50 (with my vet's mark-up on it) What a rip off! I think they are just trying to take advantage of people that are distressed because they have lost a pet. I will never bring another animal here ever! read more
