Compassionate Care came right on time and was so kind and caring. We had time to say our goodbyes, we loved her so much and she was a really High anxiety dog, going for rides triggered her, so having someone come here was perfect. I highly recommend this establishment. Thank you.

My experience was okay…read more I made a most difficult decision to let my beloved cat go after a long weekend spent almost entirely in ER trying to figure out why he would no longer eat and why his eye was swelling shut. And an even longer two or three weeks before that fighting to get him to eat. Like others here, Kevin was closer to me than my human family. I was busy with the doctors in ER so my partner called in to make the appointment to ease my stress. He said I was primary contact, but it was difficult to make that clear all the way until the day so communications were continually going to him. Not a big deal in the overall picture, but it didn't make the experience any easier. This was my cat for 8 years before I met my partner and while he loved my baby, I was the one with the lifelong bond. The doctor showed up within the time window allotted. We both found her a little cold. I felt like we were just a job and everything was done by number. My BF picked up my cat and carried him to me, but the doctor said we should do paperwork first which resulted in me putting him down after building up to do what I deemed impossible. I was emotional and crying. This really should somehow be handled before the visit. There were corrections to be made on the form. I was about to lose my baby and this only made me aware that I was filling out his death warrant. I am utterly heartbroken. I know holding your baby until the last minute is catharsis and closure, but I found it traumatizing. His passing was peaceful at least. Everyone's goodbye will be unique, and my example will not necessarily match what others experience. Everyone we spoke to was professional. I just wasn't feeling the compassion.

Fortunately the lack of reviews on this app didn't stop me from contacting them after learning the difference between standard cremation and Aquamation. Not only is this a less violent process it's a much better process for the environment without ANY drawbacks that I could identify. Joey the owner was truly empathetic to my situation as I spoke to him from the parking lot of Dove Lewis Pet hospital moments after I picked up my baby girl. He offered to pick Dini up from my house (and would have come to Dove Lewis if I had asked him to!) Without any additional charge! The "least expensive" cremation option given to me by Dove Lewis charges an outrageous fee of $200+ to pick up your pet! And they do traditional fire cremation. Joey met me at my house and took great care placing Dini in his van, assuring me that she would be treated with the dignity she and I deserved. Only 5 days later he let me know she was ready to come home. On Christmas Eve he delivered her ashes to me. The total cost for her individual (vs. group) Aquamation including pickup and delivery was $219! Much less than any other option I found and done with the greatest compassion and professionalism. I can't recommend them more highly! It was the bright spot in an otherwise terribly painful experience. Please do yourself and your pet a favor and contact them for any information you need to make your decision. I promise you won't regret it!

We had 17 amazing years with her and she went at home peacefully. But this made finding someone to take care of her remains difficult. Most cremation services only picked up from veterinary offices. The ones that did private care were outrageously expensive...nearing $1000 including transport. They were mostly unhelpful or outright unkind. Then I took a chance and opened the google listing for Oregon Aquamatoon. The owner himself, Joey, answered. He was kind and patient. They were so affordable by comparison and would come to our home to take Lilly. They tagged her with a metal tag that stayed with her. They put her beautiful, pure white sand remains in a lovely bamboo box with her pawprint laser etched with her name. They also gave us beautiful clippings of her fur sealed in a glass bottle. They dropped her back with us at a time that worked with my work schedule so she wouldn't be left alone. They donated her blanket to a cat rescue. I cant say enough about this company. They are heavensent. We miss our girl so much but her transition and final rest were so peaceful.

From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, caring, and genuinely compassionate. My cat was diagnosed with a urinary tract disease, and they took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. They were incredibly reassuring, answered all of my questions with patience, and never made me feel rushed or pressured into making decisions. What meant the most was how supportive they were. They truly cared not only about my cat's health but also about making sure I felt informed and comforted throughout the entire experience. It's clear that everyone there has a true passion for helping animals and the people who love them. I'm so grateful for the exceptional care they provided and would highly recommend Tanasbourne Veterinary Emergency to anyone in need of emergency veterinary care. Thank you for treating my cat with such love and kindness and for giving me peace of mind during a very difficult time.

The receptionist confirmed they would see my dog. I checked in 15 minutes later, explained the situation, and filled out the questionnaire. I would be waiting at least an additional 4 hours to see a vet if I chose to stay. 24/7 emergency coverage is not guaranteed at this location.

My dear heart cat passed away two years ago and I was able to get her recovered and set an appointment for cremation so she could stay with her family (as her original burial place was located at a selling house) and I could hold my baby once more. Brian answered the phone within two rings nearly every single time out of the 12 million times I called him to update him on the recovery process, ask questions, and toggle the appointment time and date. Brian was so patient, kind and accommodating during the entire process. I was able to get my kitty an appointment very promptly. Brian let me cry and ramble about my girl with no judgement, just understanding and compassion. During the intake meeting I really honestly felt that my kitty was in safe hands, with someone who knows what it's like to love an animal so much and want the care and dignity they deserve to continue on even after they cross the rainbow bridge. Your little companion has an ID disk placed with them during the entire cremation process, in order to make sure that the ashes you get back are your friend's only. So you don't have to worry about accidentally bringing home anyone else, or leaving any of your baby behind. That was a great relief to me. I was only in town for less than a week, and had to drive back to school. Brian made sure my kitty was ready to take home within that week so I would be able to return with her. That meant a lot to me. When I came to pick my kitty up, Brian had made a beautiful wooden frame memento to take along with her new lovely rosewood urn that featured my favorite picture of her. So that I could display her sweet face next to her new resting spot. The passing of an adored companion is always so painful, but being able to work with Brian on the care of my sweet girl put my heart at ease for the first time in a long while.

I had submitted an online enquiry a few days before bc we knew her time was near. I received a prompt and helpful email response. When we decided it was time, we called in the morning and were able to get a same day appointment, but it was only available after hours for an extra $125. Dr. Kathy was wonderful. She was compassionate, patient, calm and collected. She did not rush us and explained everything in a way that made it just a little bit less stressful. Our dog was 120 pounds so the 3 of us carried her out in a stretcher afterwards and she was wrapped in a blanket which was a more sensitive way to carry her outside vs looking at her body. The reason for 3 stars was the compassion ended at the remains pickup. We received the email that she was ready and it did not say to make an appointment, just gave us walk in hours. We arrived to pick up Kaya's ashes and checked in with Megan the woman at the front desk. She said we needed to hurry up because another family was coming in. She shoved the paperwork at us to sign and hurried us along. After a long drive, my husband asked to use the restroom and was told "no" because another family was coming in. After spending over $1,000 it was a cold and harsh end to what was otherwise a good experience. My husband asked for her name and pointed out to Megan that she was not being compassionate especially with what we were going through and that this would be added to our review for the facility. Only then did her tone change and she reluctantly said "ok, you can use the bathroom" but by then we were upset and just wanted to get out of there like the initial intent was from the receptionist from the beginning. This facility is large. If it's an issue, then they should ask you to make an appointment or have a separate pickup and drop off location.
