Wasn't great at all. No bbq to be found there. Had the ultimate pulled pork sandwich. Hard bun and a ton of coleslaw dressing and not much pork at all. What was on it wasn't off a smoker or bbq. Asked for a glass of ice water. Got an old plastic cup with tap water a slice of lemon and no ice. The other order at the table was for a ramen bowl. It looks like I'll be the first to rate this! Out of three nights in Quesnel, we came here twice for dinner! Bbq/pulled pork: Amongst the normal bbq offerings, pulled pork in general is the least interesting to me... this pulled pork was juicy with the bbq sauce on the sweeter side, and the coleslaw (which is one of my favourite sides) nice and complimentary for a good balance. Labanese: to me, this was there signature and the basis for my 5 stars. The first night i had the spicy chicken with rice.... the rice is sooo good and flavourful, and the chicken was juicy and full of the Lebanese spices. The second time, we had the shwarma chicken platter.. so good! My spn has the shwarma wrap and that was delicious. Other: we also had the perogies, which were light and with perfectly caramelized onions. Comparison: the owner Danny is from mainland, so i think it is as good as Manoush'eh in downtown Vancouver, but i haven't been to Nuba to compare. As good as eating any of the halal or shwarma places in Vancouver, which means fresh flavourful food. Ambience: very friendly and causal, although a bit "full" of decor, etc Portion size: Huge! We ordered three dishes for four of us (which includes my two teenage boys). Danny is very generous with his helpings, giving us extra perogies and chicken, and even offering more rice (which i couldn't eat any more, but also no microwave in our rooms at the nearby Billy Barker hotel to reheat). I absolutely love this place! Super cute inside and the customer service was really great! The vibes and the food was AMAZING! I got the chicken shawarma with the Greek salad. There was just soooo much flavor in the chicken and chipotle sauce. The salad tasted super fresh and delicious too! I tried a slice of the pulled pork pizza and the flavor is tremendous! I like that the pizza wasn't on normal dough and was on the pita bread. So please, go support them. You won't regret it! :) read more
