My last review wasn't favorable, this one isn't any better. Mr Mikes as a whole is expensive, bland, and boring. The food and service is always sub-par. I was hungry, desperate, and not like there's anywhere else really in town, so I figured I'd give it another shot. Ordered the bourbon bbq burger to go. Food took way to long to come out. Got back to my hotel, had a bite of the burger, and dear god was it bad. It was burnt. So burnt. Not blackened? But burnt. The patties aren't fresh, and it's evident in the taste. This place has not disappointed yet! Delicious food and the service is top notch! Had a custom made coconut cod burger sandwich and a steak and fries. Both were so yummy and fresh and cooked perfectly! Fries and gravy were spot on! Service was very friendly and the people seem genuinely happy to work there. Passing through Canada and stopped in Quesnel for the night, which happened to be the night before their big summer rodeo. The people in Quesnel were awesome and we didnt meet anyone without a smile, we just wish our food experience had been the same. We ordered the Asian appetizer special of pork riblet bites, the picture on the menu looked awesome, what arrived was actually 6 little pieces of very dry pork, and I mean little bite size pieces for 13.99 ! The husband ordered the jalepeno spicy burger and was very disappointed with the standard frozen hamburger shipped in a box of several hundred. Nothing that we had was worth ordering, but lesson learned, won't eat here again. But to be fair, the wait staff was very attentive, friendly and always had a smile, the stars on this review is solely for the wait staff, way to go guys. read more

Exactly what you expect. My steak was great and perfectly cooked, the sides were ok. The burgers were well received but not outstanding. The Half a salad we ordered Was pricey but huge and shall we say interesting. Not really bad but not what was expected as we ordered a "garden salad" with the Mac and cheese. Lots of nuts and dried fruit and ??? The Mac and cheese was dry and lifeless. Go to Mr Mikes and get a steak. You won't be disappointed. Oh and the house draft lager was tasty too! read more

Lack of service. Not concern over quality of food, or presentation, at least at the old salad bar you gets served by yourself. Don't go here if you haven't got a couple hours to spare. Probably one of the best places to eat if you're staying in Quesnel. Typical Me Mikes franchise food and quality meals. They had a siraracha menu, and was awesome. Staff is super friendly, nice Bar area with big TV's. They have big pints of cheap beer with pretty staff and great food. What more could you ask for. read more
