I've now used Heber three times. First time was to paint the underside of two decks which came out great. Second time was to re-stain a fairly long cedar fence which came out OK. This third time was to completely re-paint my house. The crew was able to come out a few days early which was fine with me. I went over the job with Heber and his foreman (Jesus) and the crew got to work with the prep. They estimated that it would take 4 to 5 days and they finished in 4 1/2 days but only after walking me around the house to make sure I was 100% satisfied. We have had many different painting companies in the 20 years since we have built our home. 30 years living in Flagstaff. Heber is by far the most superior painting contractor with which I have ever dealt. Our decks were sanded down to new. Four doors needed attention. They were completely sanded down and restored. Prep work prior to painting was insufficient. There were dozens of locations that needed scraping, filling, sanding, etc. prior to being painting. When brought to Roy's attention, he said that I was being picky and refused to correct these issues. Roy agreed to give an itemized invoice for the work that was being performed. When he received the final payment, he assured me that he would provide an itemized invoice within 24 hours. He refuses to do this and has blocked my calls and messages as well as a friend who was in attendance during the work, as well as my conversation about my issues. There's a communication barrier with Roy and English speaking people, which makes it difficult to communicate with Roy to get the job done to the customers' satisfaction. I would not recommend working with this company. They seem extremely disorganized. Had a date scheduled for Heber to come give us a quote. On the scheduled date and time he didn't show up so I followed up with a phone call, he asked why I didn't call earlier to remind him? I didn't think it was my responsibility to remind a business of our scheduled meeting. Once he finally arrived he notified me he had given the dates we had previously arranged for him to paint our home to another client....very frustrating from a customer service perspective. Begrudging my husband and I were flexible with the actual painting dates in order to accommodate his schedule. Upon receiving his estimated quote he forgot to include areas we needed painting. After receiving the updated second quote the cost of areas he estimated in the original quote increased by 50%. BEWARE! read more

Heber and his team did a fantastic job re-staining our front and rear deck of our home in Flagstaff. They also re-caulked and painted the matching trim of our rear windows which suffered from the harsh winter last year. Doing business with Heber was a true pleasure. He responded promptly to my initial contact and also came right out to give me a professional bid. He gave me a realistic timeframe about when he would be able to do our job (which he met). Heber had a professional contract which he honored. When he met with my husband prior to the work being done a couple of days ahead of schedule we were also able to modify and re-do the scope of work without any difficulty. He and his crew did the work while we were on vacation and when we came home we scheduled time to meet with him because he wanted to be sure we were happy with the work that was done before we paid the remaining 50% balance. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to deal with Heber on this job.
