My family has been working with Bob McGuire and now David Heckman for years. Because we ran a non profit we had multiple and complex returns due every year. Everything has always been prepared on time and with absolutely no issues. The peace of mind that comes with working with professionals of this caliber is priceless. However, I did not realize just how truly exceptional David (in particular) is until this year. I lost my mother unexpectedly and not only did David work directly with my financial advisor to make filing estate and personal taxes for the estate and my mom easy so that I was able to focus on what I needed to deal with, he was also a great support and has been there for my family in many other ways and genuinely cares about us. It was through this experience that I realized that David approaches his clients wanting to build a life long relationship and the trust that goes along with that type of relationship is worth far more than the cost to have David prepare my tax returns (which is reasonable and fair). I would not even consider working with anyone else and would suggest that anyone looking for an accountant who is thorough, ethical, honest and professional should work with David and his staff. If I could give a zero star I would. My brother employed David Heckman in his CPA firm as a promise to David's father. He said that David was dumb as a rock, but my brother made a promise to David's father and kept to it. I worked with David and found out that my brother was accurate in his assessment of David. I fired him, but his crying got to me, so I hired him back and then left, so that I never had to be responsible for such terrible work that he produced. He says he went to community college, but it was for one quarter with a D average. Don't go to him for taxes. He has no idea what he is doing!! read more

We have been customers for over 20 years. Heckman Tax prepares my out of state tax returns and I have been extremely pleased with the service they provide. They even helped me with a letter I received from the IRS claiming that I had not filed a corporate return (prior to my using Heckman Tax) and that I owed a heavy fine.
