This place was introduced to me by a friend while we were strolling in Sikatuna Village. We were on the lookout for a chill place to have a few beers when we came across Hec's Ihaw-Ihaw. The first thing you need to know is that this is such a no-frills place. With just a grill up front, a few tables and chairs inside what seems to be an old garage and a cooler full of beer. Despite all that, the place definitely surpassed my expectations!
Their inihaw na taenga is the best on the menu (in my opinion). The meat was immensely tender and the cartilage was a treat to bite into. Their liempo is also awesome; it's perfect with rice or just chopped up as an accompaniment to a couple of cold beers. They also serve some mean grilled Hungarian sausages. The cherry on top is that the food is SO cheap! Perfect for those bargain foodies out there! read more
