I did my consultation with Hedding senior, not knowing the son has the same first and last name which felt like a bait and switch. I paid the retainer thinking I would be working with senior Hedding. The way I found out about this was when I had new information in my case and told the hedding call center I needed to discuss with Mr. Hedding. I got a call back from Hedding Jr. Who barely listened to the situation before dropping an F bomb on me and yelling at me not to do something I hadn't even done. During the consultation, he said he was going to try hard to convince the DA to drop charges, but I never got any update that they even tried, yet they told me they were working real hard on my case, with no details. I found out later this never happened and nothing but a continuation was planned. Communication was awful, they use a call center service that knew nothing about my case. Most times, I never got a call back from anyone. Important information on my case that could have got it dismissed sooner than 18 months, was held on to by Hedding Jr because he wanted to wait til the next court date to show it to the prosecutor instead of bringing it to their attention immediately. Then he asked for more retainer money when things went from bad to worse. I asked for months to get a digital forensics expert on the case, and he ignored me until the last minute, so he had to continue the case twice. I asked him for weeks to get me all the evidence that the police report said they uploaded to evidence.com, and he ignored me. I finally got a hold of him, and he told me, "Don't worry about it, let the expert do everything." Totally off base about why I needed the evidence. As a last resort, I told him I would pay him extra hourly to do that, and he didn't even respond to that! Hedding law firm charges less than other firms because they take on way too many cases. There was times we went to court and I had to wait a long time because he had over 10 cases at the same time. I had to do all the work myself in my case, even the forensic expert was not happy with doing Heddings job when it came to a subpoena, the expert had to write the whole thing just so Hedding could sign his name on it and try to take all the credit in the end. read more

Avoid Ron he is after the money; not defending his clients. If you are looking for a lawyer who is going to defend you in a serious case, then avoid Ron Hedding. He is a dangerous lawyer and must be reported to the BAR for malpractice. We hired Ron when my son was charged with PC 261 (Rape) in December of 2023. He was originally arrested for criminal threats in April of 2023, but the rape charge was added on almost a year later. Ron misled us throughout the entire process. He said he would get the charge dropped and witness discredited. He said he would take on the case himself yet he sent his secretary and his dad for 2 of my son's court dates. My son wrote a ton of information for him and Ron said he would review it but when it came to my son's preliminary hearing, Ron did not synthesize any of the information and was completely unprepared. He was afraid of the DA in the court room and could not defend my son at all. The rape charge was later dismissed in Feb of 2025 through a public defender who actually did his job. There were phone records proving that my son and his accuser had a relationship and when Ron was told about this by both my son and my wife he said, "The phone records cannot be recovered." He flat out lied and did not even try getting the phone records which literally proved my son's innocence. At my son's preliminary hearing Ron was completely unprepared. He said to me and my wife, "I did my best, you can pay me another $20,000 to defend him at his next court date." My son even asked Ron to speak with him after prelim and he said "no" because he was running late for another case he had. Ron just has a good website and videos but in the court room he is nothing. Ron was too lazy to read my son's notes and to get the phone records. After prelim the judge took away my son's bail and did not drop any charges. Ron did a horrible job at cross examining the victim/witness. It took a public defender to dismiss the rape charge because that public defender actually took the time to gather evidence and read my son's discovery and notes. I believe that most of the reviews on Ron's website are fabricated and he is not a stellar lawyer in the court room. read more

He is a lifesaver! If I could give him six stars I would!!! I decided to procrastinate and I searched for an attorney the day before I had court I contacted a different attorney and he was going to charge me close to $5000 and he says that he actually refused to take my case because it was only a day notice and that was too short of a time to notify him. So the second person I called was Mr. Hedding, And even though it was after hours he picked up the phone call and he took his time to listen to my whole case and all the other cases that I had going on which I have maybe a total of four and he generously took on my case and then when he asked me for the payment I told him that due to the situation I'm in and the fact that I had to acquire to prior attorneys that Took a lot of my money I wasn't able to pay him that much but I would really appreciate if you take the case because it could've gone really badly if I didn't get a good attorney. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAW FIRM! Got myself into a tricky situation and was fooled by this law firm's fancy website thinking that these people would help me or even attempt to help me get out of the ordeal i was placed in. Never got to speak to Ron Hedding at all and instead was placed with some inexperienced lawyer that was working for him after paying the ridiculous retaining fee. The lawyer who was assigned to my case did not care at all about defending me in any way and was pushing me to plead guilty so he/she wouldn't have to waste any time with my case. You have to call them numerous times to have someone call you back and i sincerely felt robbed of my money for hiring this law firm. The most helpful person in this firm was the male receptionist who answered all of my questions unlike the unhelpful and uninterested attorney that was assigned to me.
