I am a diabetic who has not been in good control of my blood sugars until recently. I can say without reservation that Dr. Thakkar is a knowledgeable clinician, with a lot of experience with diabetes. He is concerned with all the body's systems but particularly those affected by that disease. He follows my case with regular labs and office visits to review results and adjust my meds accordingly. They asked all the right questions and come up with a plan according to my symptoms. They did CT scan, blood work, X-rays, and ultra sound for possible blood clots in my legs, along with a breathing treatment for my COPD. With everything they had done I was offered to stay the night or go home. I chose home but in all I was there about 4 hours. YRMC made me sit in waiting room 4.5 hours and I was never taken to exam room I got up and walked out.

My husband and I were both hospitalized within two months of each other. We went to Caldwell Hospital in Lenoir via the emergency room both times. We each had a condition that should have been diagnosed months before but was not. My husbands stay lasted eight days. Mine lasted three! We were referred to Dr. Aaron Goodwin at Robbins Medical Park. What a blessing. The office staff is very attentive. Our calls are always taken. We are called back right when needed. Unless you were looking for it, you would pass it by as i have thousands of times. It is a small store front with a conservative appearance. It is not some huge office in a fancy brick building in some expensive medical plaza. Which is why the business can be more centered on the client i believe. The visit was 100 percent opposite of my recent visit to another such business. First the receptionist was polite, professional and seemed glad I chose their business. The office was clean, inviting and a surprise. The hand off to the audiologist was smooth and comfortable. They took my records and spent the time to go over the results of the test, pointing out key markers the previous business did not. They took time to actively listen to my concerns and answer my questions questions. They had already checked with my insurance and went over the availability of what items would be covered and produced for me a list of my best options with the pros and cons of each.
