After going to at least six consults over the years and doing so much research, I chose Dr. Mohan and it was the best decision I could have made. The office is gorgeous but the people are what truly made it special. Dr. Mohan was so sweet and made me feel completely comfortable. I was so nervous for my pre op, literally shaking, and she and Amara made me feel calm and cared for. I cannot rave enough about McKenzie, Gretchen, Madalyn, and everyone else who helped me through this process. We were so well taken care of from start to finish. Melanie was amazing too. I got a peel and my skin looks incredible. I wish they were located in Scottsdale because I would be a regular. And the results. I am overwhelmed with happiness. I followed the esthetician's instructions carefully keeping the mask on for seven hours, staying out of the sun, and following all post-care guidelines. I began peeling on the third day, but the peeling was very minimal. In fact, I've had superficial peels in the past that produced stronger results. I was advised that if I had chemical peels before, I might not peel at all or only peel lightly. For context, my last chemical peel was in February of this year, and since then I've avoided active ingredients, using only a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Once the minimal peeling subsided (mainly on my chin, slightly on my cheeks, and none on my forehead), I noticed no glow, and my hyperpigmentation remained. In fact, my forehead appeared darker. The peel literally did nothing for my skin except worsen some areas. This peel was NOT worth my money, let alone $1,600!! I'm sure the clinic would argue that I need to use the take-home kit for at least a month to see results. If that's the case, it would be far more cost-effective to see a dermatologist for a prescription skin-brightening cream or simply visit Sephora. I would like to add that the esthetician, Erica, was wonderful. This review is not a reflection of her work but rather of the product itself and the price charged for something that produced no results/making skin condition worse. I went in for my pre op - 2 years later , and left just super unsure if the procedure was still what I wanted ( 30 days out ) I've paid 100% in full ( a large sum ) . I called for reassurance and was told " it'll change your life " . I asked if meeting with the surgeon again was an option to ease some of my concerns and was told she didn't have the availability. I then started to have DAILY panic attacks . I didn't want to lose 10k ( if you cancel 30 days or less from surgery they keep 50% of the surgery fee * NO EXCEPTIONS * bc your 2k non refundable deposit isn't enough - but I also didn't want to go through this huge procedure I was unsure of . I called another 4 x's looking for some sort of reassurance- was told basically to get over it - be excited . Not only is he very meticulous with his work, I have had enough time with him now to say he is definitively a kind person who cares deeply about his patients, not the bottom line. What youll find with his practice is being treated like a beverly hills movie star on a budget that is extremely competitive for this area. He doesnt upsell or try to use the latest jargon to confuse you. We all know this is a rare gem in a doctor. We need to protect these kinds of specialists at all costs in all fields! His staff has always been beyond exceptional. From Jahira to Jasmine, and of course Silvia. Every girl and woman ive had interactions with thus far (which are quite a few now), have been so kind, so gentle. They make you feel like family. That lack of communication and aftercare was both frustrating and concerning. During my last visit, I was left waiting alone in an exam room for 90 minutes because the doctor completely forgot I was there--an unacceptable level of disorganization and disregard for a patient's time. What was even more upsetting was being made to feel as though the poor outcome was somehow my fault, instead of being met with professionalism, empathy, or a genuine effort to address the issue. In my experience, this office seemed far more concerned with collecting payment than providing quality care, providing appropriate post-operative support, or standing behind their work. Based on how I was treated, I cannot recommend this practice to anyone.
