I was fresh out of college, in great shape and I had just lost about 40 pounds on my own; working out and eating right. I went to SLPS because I just wanted to add volume to my buttox & hips. Instead of being honest and telling me that I didn't have enough fat the get the results that I wanted at that time, Dr. Nyguen said I needed to hurry and make an appointment so he could give me a discount for paying cash. So I trusted him! As a doctor, he should have been honest and had integrity. He should have suggested that I hold off until I had developed enough fat & fat cells to get my desired results, but instead he took my money and apologized after he realized that I wasn't happy with my results & he didn't do what he knew that he should have. After suffering a deep depression, because I spent thousands and did not receive what I paid for, I went back to him to express my unhappiness and asked if he could fix it. 2 years ago I looked up plastic surgeons in Houston area for my gynecomastia, lots of doctors, lots of awesome results so I picked Dr. Nguyen and went for my consultations, the staff was good but cold, Dr. Nguyen was good and promised me great results, he made me day that day! I paid out of pocket about $7000, surgery was done, everything seems to be good until I went again for my first check in! I found out that the right breast looks a little bigger than the left one!! I wasn't happy, went back to Dr. Nguyen, showed him the issue and his response was like... Oh yeah, I see the difference in sizes! He apologized and told me if I am willing to pay the hospital fees $2250 he will fix the issue for free because that was his fault! Before Surgery: I visited 2-3 other plastic surgeons before visiting Dr.Nguyen. Since the moment I requested an appointment I was super pleased. Their front staff called me right away and was super professional and friendly. When I walked in I loved the environment, it was exactly what I expected. Clean, elegant, & quiet. April was at the front desk at the time and talked to me through out my consultation. She made me feel so comfortable and confident about my decision with getting a breast augmentation. Day of Surgery: When I arrived at the Lake Pointe Surgery Center (I believe this is what it's called) I was sooooo nervous. ALL THE STAFF there was also super PROFESSIONAL & FRIENDLY. I went home after surgery. I felt so good. My surgery was around 11am and I was already feeling normal by 4pm the same day. I was just super hungry. I took NO PAIN MEDICATION at all! NOT 1. Dr. Nguyen is easily one of the most light-hearted, intelligent, and precise surgeons that I've met. He speaks to his patients with openness and kindness, and always with a smile. He told me that I brightened his day to get to see and visit with me at my f/u visit, but really, it was my day that was enhanced because I got to see him and the team. As weird as it is, or may seem, it's like they almost start feeling like a little side family. The team that does everything else, except use the scalpel April, Jenna, Tina (those are who I met) wow these ladies have it going on, to the max. From my initial consultation to my final visit post surgery, I loved everything about Dr. Nguyen. I had gotten a recommendation from a friend who'd seen Dr. Nguyen before and she assured me he was the man to see. So I made an appointment and off I went. Other surgeons I had a consultation with made me feel unimportant, like I wasn't worth their precious time. But Dr. Nguyen genuinely cared about my questions and concerns. He laid out his procedure, plans, and technique from the get go. Told me what to expect pre and post op. I felt completely comfortable and at ease. I didn't feel like my money was the most important thing to him, in fact, my money didn't seem important to him at all. He was calm and patient with me throughout my 4,739,738,475 questions and answered them all without a complaint. Another thing I really liked about my experience with Dr. Nguyen was his staff. Every single person was attentive and nice. They didn't act stuck up or rude. At the end of my initial consultation I spoke with one woman, I wish I could remember her name, for almost an hour about other things I'd forgotten to ask Dr. Nguyen. She also answered my questions without hesitation. I loved that she didn't have to say "Uh, let me double check with the Doctor and get back to you (aka uhh, I don't know the answer to that)." She showed me exactly where my money was going and why. I left very confident he was going to be my choice surgeon. The only thing that bugged me was the miscommunication between his office and the surgery center itself. Honestly, I'm not sure whose fault it was but it didn't really matter. I had scheduled my surgery for a day June back in late April/early May, and got a voicemail late May from the center confirming my date for the wrong day, so I called back and tried to get that fixed. Then after the date was confirmed, I got another voicemail about a week later with the wrong time. So after a couple more calls and apologies I ended up having to change my surgery day completely, which irritated me because I'd already scheduled off work and gotten my ride confirmed for the original day. But I was so excited about surgery I was over it quickly. Everything after surgery went splendid. Great recovery and support from the staff and Dr. Nguyen. Always warm and welcoming. I've already recommended him to many of my friends after numerous compliments. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results from The Better Breast Reduction. Dr. John Nguyen is very honest and detailed from the pre-op to the post-op. The breast reduction that he performed was done with so much excellence and with minimal scarring. I consulted with Dr. Nguyen early March for breast augmentation, and he and his staff were very friendly, professional and made me feel very comfortable. Then Covid 19 happened. I decided to hold off on the operation. Dr. Nguyens staff did not pressure me in any way but did follow up with me to see how I was doing and assured me they follow all the safety measures to keep their office clean and sanitized. I decided to go though with the operation in May. On the pre op visit, I did sizing (lots of fun), we discussed what to expect, when to start vitamins and went over the medications and creams. Dr Nguyen sent all the prescriptions that day as well. On surgery day, the Nurse was very experienced, IV went in easy and took care of me leading up to go time. Dr came in to do his markings and shortly after that, I am heading to the operating room. Waking up, I thought how fast it went and was very happy there were no issues. I had some concerns about month post op, called the dr and he really took his time addressing my questions. I am now 10 weeks post op, and very happy. I am amazed at how the human body heals. If you decide to get any type of cosmetic surgery, do your due diligence. There are many risks and I did have to sign a bunch of papers about those risks. I recently got a rhinoplasty here and everything went great! My nose looks amazing! I had a prominent dorsal hump, went to Dr. Nguyen's website/ig and saw that he has EXTENSIVE experience with dorsal humps.
