Heisler Park is one of the most beautiful oceanfront parks in Southern California. The views here are absolutely stunning. There are scenic paths along the cliffs, palm trees, tide pools, small hidden beaches, and incredible sunsets -- all in one place. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing walk by the ocean. I especially like coming here around sunset. The light over the ocean is beautiful and it's a great place for photos or just to sit and enjoy the view. There are also grassy areas that are perfect for a small picnic while watching the ocean. Parking is usually metered nearby, but the park itself is free to visit. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Laguna Beach. read more

This park has been on my bucket list for years. Finally, took the time to drive up there with a couple of my friends before heading out to lunch. Our main purpose is to put in our steps while embracing the spectacular ocean views. That didn't work out because we decided to walk down to the beach instead and relax just listening to the crashing waves. So soothing to our ears while we ease our mind into a calm setting. There were some caves to explore also great for pictures as a backdrop. We didn't get the chance to check out the tide pools area, but will definitely do that next time. The park was super clean with lots of nice grassy areas. Little arts and artifacts were displayed throughout the park. Very intriguing to see while strolling along the miles stretch of the pathway. I will absolutely return in the future for some peace and majestic ocean views. read more

What a beautiful park. I was two weeks postpartum and wanted to challenge myself to step out of the house with our fresh newborn. We took a drive out to Laguna Beach to enjoy some fresh air and it was just beautiful. I loved coming here to walk around safely with my newborn. Heisler Park is one of the best parks in Laguna beach! It's pretty large for a beach park. It has a clear walking path,places to sit down to look out at the ocean, and bbq pit areas. Very clean! Plenty of restrooms to use and are clean as well. This area is safe as well. Laguna beach police are actively around to monitor the area. Also, the park is dog friendly. My favorite part are the sunsets you will be able to get a spectacular view of the sunset from any point in the area. read more

10.11.25 - visited this place for the first time and wow, it was beautiful! It's a great place to go for a walk and get in some exercise or to relax and hang at. You can go down to the beach as well. There are many spots where you can stop at and just take in the view. My favorite spot was the view from the gazebo. At the time I visited, there was a violinist playing in the gazebo. That was nice. We parked over by Urth Cafe since we ate there before walking over. Parking was a bit tough to find. We had to circle around a few times. I'm not sure if it was as packed in other areas around the park but I imagine it was. read more

I came here around 6pm to walk and get my steps in. I saw a video on IG about Heisler Park touting it as the best park in OC and calling it a "hidden gem" . Well it's no hidden gem but it's absolutely beautiful. Keep in my that it is a park so there a picnic tables and a grassy area and most importantly the Pacific Ocean is your backdrop. Yes, you can fully access the beach from the stairs leading to the beach. My only issue was parking. It gets crowded so it may take a minute to find a parking spot. There is metered parking until 7pm daily payable by cash or credit card. I did see a trolley running down the main road adjacent to the beach. That might to use instead of fighting with parking. Overall. I really this park. It's families but it's also very romantic! read more

Heisler Park is so breathtakingly beautiful, that every time I go here (even though I only live 10 minutes away), I feel like it's the first time! I've traveled the world, and I will say, it is one of the most spectacular pieces of land anywhere on earth. The beauty is on par with Maui, it actually feels like you're in Hawaii when you are there! It truly takes your breath away, and clears the mind of any stress. There's an upper level with grass and benches where you can see the ocean, and then the actual beach down some stairs where you can walk, lounge in the sand and watch the surfers, seagulls and more. Was brought out here by my brother, we were going to a Global Underwater Explorers 2024 community day! We came early morning to set up at the bbqs and score about four to six picnic tables for all the scuba divers. Really clean and safe park with breathtaking views of the ocean. I enjoyed a short walk up and down the park looking at the sculptures and people walking their cute dogs. A family friendly park, I felt really at peace and relaxed after taking in the fresh air. Wonderful temperature at this time of year just can have a bit of the coastal marine layer that makes the sky grey but burns off as the day gets on. Parking is metered, so make sure you put enough time as the metermaids are in full force at this neighborhood. Trust you will get a ticket if you have anything from expired tags or go over the limit! read more

Heisler Park is a beautiful place to visit at Laguna Beach. There are a lot of people walking, some with their dog, and people to and from beaches below. There are plenty benches to sit down and enjoy the view. It's an oasis to spend a couple of hours on a scorching hot day. Ocean breeze and sounds of the ocean have a magical power that cleanses the mind and spirit. The traffic wasn't bad when I drove down around 2pm. There were ample parkings on weekdays. Personally I avoid come here on weekends when it is very crowded. Laguna Beach has a parking app by Frog Parking I downloaded to my phone to pay for parking. The drive leaving the beach was heavier but no worth than 405 or 91 during rush hours. My recommendation is move to the left lane quickly to avoid merging traffic. read more

By far the very best public space in Laguna Beach This few block long park is perched atop the cliffs above the beach. Beautiful lawns, park benches, and picnic area of world class and spectacular views that never get old. Heisler park is a quaint clean and delightful park overlooking an astounding sandy beach with clear water and rock formations. It is perfect for families and friends or artists or simply anyone. There isn't much shade so bring your own. It also suitable for picnics. On a weekday, parking was easy to find. There are meters that charge 2 dollars per hour with a 4 hour limit. Cant believe I had never been to Heisier Park. Took me and my girl here over the weekend, and it was fun, and pretty crowded since we had a warm weekend. Out by the water near Laguna Shores. Lots of people bring their loved ones, pets and families. Scenery was great, and this will be our go to spot. read more

No joke, this park was incredible. I read that it was stroller, friendly, and indeed it was. You can park on various meters some have different time limits. It's essentially a walkway/cliff above the ocean, where you can walk freely and then if you walk down enough, you go into the quaint downtown area. There was one area, however, and trying to go to the downtown region, that was stairs that we had to pick up our stroller. I am sure though if we adjust ourselves, there was a workaround. We passed by a restaurant called Brisas that seem to have a nice view of the area if you also wanted to go for a meal. There was another side of stairs that can bring you right to the beach. There were these cool signs right next to an area that tide pool, so you can have a DIY experience of sorts. There was a slight smell to the beach I thought, but that happens. There is also a playground right before you get into the downtown area, I wish we had more time to explore. These were some of the most amazing views I've ever seen in my life. Seriously, every photo is picture. I definitely hope to be back here. read more

We came on a weekday, late morning and found parking easily. I enjoyed the waterfront pathway. On the paved pathway, we walked pass four beaches- Diver's Cove, Picnic Beach, Rockpile Beach, and Main Beach. The park also has benches, picnic tables and barbecues. Heisler Park is one of the most beautiful places I've strolled in SoCal. Parking is a bit difficult, either look for one of the lots or street parking. There are various shops nearby if you want to do some snacking or shopping but stroll along the coast here. Listen to the waves, watch the beautiful blue ocean and sky. The cliffs and the water just give it such a gorgeous view. Want to get out of the sun a bit? There is also a shaded gazebo with bench. A must-see altho I almost don't want to write this so I can enjoy the view without a crowd haha read more
