This place is the BEST! I was recommended by a friend and i definitely wasn't disappointed, i got a Blonde Balayage by AP and she was so down to earth and we were chatting the whole time. She got the color i wanted PERFECT and when she was washing my hair she gave the best head massages LOL. Paid a lot of money for no real change, nor did stylist come close to a picture I originally showed her. Promised someone who specialized in the whole blonde balayage trend (my hair was already blonde with dark roots, so all I really needed was some blonde painted up) but stylist failed miserably. Stylist did offer to make changes, but I opted out (why waste time and healthy hair). I requested a partial refund, but was denied. I'm still paying for the god awful hair 2 months later, for I had to pay another stylist to take out the bronzy brown tones(never requested) and then another session to bring some blonde back. I had the pleasure of meeting Casandra Grace under unfortunate circumstances. I am thrilled I called my friend Courtney for a referral because my hair hadn't been done in a few months due to hectic schedules with myself and my previous hair dresser. I didn't leave my hair dresser she is now in heaven looking over us and after 9 years she will be dearly missed. Casandra took me in on a less than 24 hour notice and when I showed up I was in shock over the news I received that morning of my hair dresser passing , thinking she would be out for just a while over surgery. Casandra was so sympathetic and comforting. She did an awesome job on my hair and I found a new place and now you're my girl!! Finally managed to get my haircut today. I went to Heist Hair Bar after having been a customer at another shop for over 15 years. It was so refreshing to go to Heist with a private room where my stylist, Bonnie, asked me exactly how I'd like my hair cut today. She did an absolutely wonderful job and it turned out even better than I expected. Note: I am extremely picky about my hair. Wow, so I wrote my review back in June, and have since put this unfortunate situation long behind me. That is until I just got a Facebook message today from one of the stylists at Heist...almost 3 months later. I find it incredibly unprofessional that a stylist would seek me out and contact me on my personal Facebook page from her personal Facebook account rather than handle this professionally through the business, which by the way has never reached out to me to rectify this situation. Attached is the message from the stylist: "Hi Katie, I went back and forth on to reach out to you or just let it be.....but I feel like I needed to say something/defend myself. I recently read your review on Yelp. I understand that you were extremely upset on how you were treated here at heist or by your stylist. I wish you would of called and addressed your concerns with the owner. Instead you completely drug me into the review because of your anger over the situation. People that know me know that I do not constantly talk about people behind their backs as soon as they leave. But I am human and if we were talking about something that I've experienced or a certain client that made you uncomfortable. I'm so sorry. But by no means am I some mean/ugly person that talks about others and that's what I felt when I read your review. I've done hair for 13 years and have wonderful clients and I've never had an unhappy client. So for you to completely ruin that with a review is just so heartbreaking to me. Again, I'm so sorry about your experience here at Heist and if I made you feel uncomfortable. The place itself is wonderful. I came in for tape in hair extensions with Sonia. Because I didn't buy the hair extensions from them, she gave me a disclaimer on the product stating the negatives of what could happen because I didn't buy her brand of hair extensions. I told her that this was my first experience with them and I wanted it to go well. The first day, I had three extensions fall out and I hadn't ran my finger through my hair or even brushed it. The next day I had another fall out. After I finally washed my hair, doing everything according to rule, I kept having extensions come out. I honestly think that this stylist gave me a disclosure to purposely be sloppy with my installation. I called and left a few polite messages with the receptionist making sure that she would receive them to see if there was any way we could fix my problem and make things work out. Nobody ever called me back. I'm extremely disappointed in the service and definitely not worth paying over 200$ for, especially if she didn't know what she was doing with my extensions. Honestly, her disclaimer felt like an excuse to do not so great work on my hair and get easy money. They won't even call me back to try and see if we can fix anything. read more

I've had my hair cut by Cassandra at Heist Hair Bar twice now and each time has been such a great experience. First of all, she is about the friendliest stylist I have ever encountered and to top it off she is very talented too. My hair is thin and fine but she's somehow able to add volume and fullness, something I wish I could recreate at home! Price of the haircut is pretty average for a nice salon in this area so no complaints there. The salon itself is well decorated and feels upscale. I've never had any issue with rescheduling an appointment when necessary and the receptionist has always been nice and accommodating. Love this place! read more
