The room we stayed in was on the main level. The room is modern and incredibly charming. It had a little kitchen area with coffee pot, microwave, fridge/freezer combo and all the dishes and pantry stock you'd need. The linens in this place are fantastic. Fluffy soft towels and wonderful sheets make me a happy lady! Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We had a delicious yogurt and berry parfait, Fresh coffee and juice, fried eggs, scrapple (corn meal and sausage) and freshly made cinnamon coffee cake. Delightful conversation to be had with these charming folks as well. 10/10 will stay again! It's tucked back in there and absolutely worth finding, you won't be disappointed.

It's a cute house with a very nice front porch. There is parking in back but spaces are tight if the inn is full and when all the cars are big SUVS. We got there rather early as our plans that day were disrupted by the torrential rain but the hostess was there and we were able to get settled in our room right away. We had the writing room which has a shared bathroom down the hall with one other room (the least pricy room). It's is very bright with three big windows, lots of natural light. There is a small fridge which is convenient. Bed a bit soft but for one night it wasn't a big problem. The bathroom is a good size with a retro free standing tub and the shower is hot and strong. From the inn to Main Street is an easy 5-10 minute stroll. Plenty of dining options as the town is quite interesting even though it's all geared towards tourists. Hostess will give you good recommendations if needed. Breakfast was a hearty chunk of Christmas casserole - the best I've ever had chock full of tasty ingredients. Would return to this inn next time just so we can have the same breakfast again!

It is a great location that is close to their little downtown and near the river. When you arrive you'll note that the B&B is actually two buildings. A large Victorian house and a small cottage with attached gazebo. She has many, many rooms! The cottage is a two bedroom with a kitchenette and I believe they call it the Honeymoon cottage. They also have a multi-bed suite in the attic area and in the basement. These would be perfect for families or couples traveling together. Linda a Bert share the main floor along with the main living room and dining room. Lastly there is the second floor, which has individual bedrooms. This is where we stayed. This was a B&B before Linda and Bert bought it so much of the furniture and decor was there... however it is apparent in each of the rooms the many antiques Linda herself has collected over the years. The best part of staying here though were Linda and Bert. I know I had a previous relationship but I saw them interacting with the other guests. Bert was helping out the large group of women (medical transcriptionists on a work retreat) and they both welcomed a couple from Finland while we were there. That night we were told not to eat dessert out because they had homemade apple pie for everyone. The crust was even made by Linda's mom from scratch! It was the perfect end to the evening (we had dinner at Shoot the Bull... see that review)! The next morning was breakfast. With the place being so full they had breakfast in shifts, which was fine. It was nice to mingle with the other guests and have discussions. Linda's niece was also over to help and along with Bert made sure you constantly had something fabulous in front of you. There was a fruit, yogurt, granola parfait, breakfast au gratin potatoes, a breakfast quiche among other things. In the end it was a great time. So good in fact, that my wife and I were very disappointed when we got over to the family reunion and were staying in a below average Days Inn. After seeing how they handled the group of coworkers (which were between 15-20) it was apparent that they could handle a group. Both my wife and I thought about how great it would have been if the reunion had been at Yesterday's Inn. In talking with Linda there were discussions about her hosting events over the holidays so you might inquire about that. They are still learning and figuring out the B&B business but they really love to entertain and have all the different people buzzing about their place. They have many stories about the different guests they have received over the past couple of years. I highly encourage you to plan to stop there for a stay and enjoy Spearfish.

This was such a cute, clean cottage! The owner was so very friendly and provided us everything we needed including some fresh eggs and other breakfast items for us to prepare. We will definitely return for another visit and hopefully get to stay a little longer next time! You'll be safely roped in with a great climbing team. - - - We discovered Devils Tower Lodge (DTL) in 2017; we planned a visit to Devils Tower as part of an "out west" vacation and we were intrigued by the chance to see Devils Tower / Bear Lodge, from the room; then-owner Frank invited us to also climb with them, and we did not expect we would climb, but we said "Yes" and then when we got there we did climb - all four of us, and we had a phenomenal time... the whole trip was great and Devils Tower Lodge was the favorite highlight of that great trip. This year, in 2025, we had a chance for an extended weekend trip and we quickly confirmed that we'd go... Wyoming, especially Devils Tower Lodge, is a favorite place that excites us and also provides quiet and tranquility. In 2017 we climbed 120 feet up, while safely roped in; this trip I just hoped to get at least a little higher this time, and with Curtis we did make it higher, about 150 feet up... We climbed at the same spot on the Tower - they can point it to you so you can see it from the Lodge, and you can see the Lodge from where we climb. We enjoyed the "beginner" climb; if you're more experienced you can likely pick other locations on the Tower to climb. We climbed the Everlasting and Broken Tree routes 4-5 times. Curtis was a great guide!! Our daughter also climbed separately with DTL members (incl. Carlos), and they made it all the way the top... we were so proud that she set a goal and achieved it! A tornado hit the tower in 2024; the tornado damage was evident; it looked like the tornado hit the tower straight on, as trees were felled on both sides; we later saw much more damage as we drove toward Gillette. Breakfast and Dinner... great food, lovingly prepared by Hannah and Glen... plenty to fill you up... The rooms - each is uniquely decorated and nice and quiet, with great views. Stargazing... skies so dark; airplane flights do happen, but they are infrequent; you will likely see several satellites - smaller lights moving much more quickly than planes... for the first 90 min or so after sunset. Sunsets are later, and longer/slower than back home in STL. Peaceful... so quiet and peaceful there... you don't miss any noise; you are relaxed. The views of Devils Tower / Bear Lodge are wonderful, and the owners - Rachel and Gabe - a wonderful couple, now parents, are welcoming and giving. We reserved the cabin with two bedrooms... a full bed in each room and two futons in the large open room... amazing view of Devils Tower from the front door, from the nice and large patio deck, and from the panoramic window in the bathroom. ... The climbing was one of the highlights of our trip. They have a training room next to the main house where they fit you for shoes and the climbing harnesses, and where you learn that climbing is "not a series of pull-ups, which is often what they show in the movies," but is mostly legs pushing you upward, and where you put that into practice on a short rock wall. ... We climbed three routes from where we were, all starting right there at the same place, just a few feet left or right of the other. I truly thought we'd be happy if we climbed about 20 feet high, and lasted a full hour. As it was, all four of us climbed up the 100-foot route and the 115-foot route, and we were there for the entire six-hours that Gabe and Julius planned. ... Since coming home, we have been to our local pool, which has a 12-foot rock wall. This wall frustrates us because it requires so much upper body strength, and it is significantly more difficult that's climbing Devils Tower. They will illegally adjust your time card without even asking you about the hours in question. The management pushes the laundry and other duties over to the employees. They have the entry level employees do the job of 2-3 people and very rarely pick up the slack themselves. They'll cut your salary back to hourly because you called in sick one time. But then the new managers can call in sick every day for a week straight. They let some employees milk their time while cutting other employees days to compensate for the payroll being to high. We stopped here and they had no dog rooms that also was handicap friendly. The clerk called the boss and told him want the problem was and they got us in by rearranging rooms. We had to stay two days due to the storm. The room was nice and clean and the staff, including housekeeping was very helpful in meeting the special needs of my wife. What could have been a very miserable time waiting out the storm was made easy for us by the staff. Thanks guys.
