Speakeasy and nightclub vibes. Excellent sound. Drinks were decent. No food available, so make sure to eat before coming. They have comedy nights and burlesque on weekends. Overall the show was classy. Great choreography, vibing to some reggaeton music. No complaints about the show. We had fun! This place is the only Burlisque show that I know or aware of that is in the Long Beach area. Check the website to view the lineup. Category changes everytime. Great ambiance with clean restrooms. I have tried multiple times to get into contact with Alex's Bar over disturbing behavior exhibited by one of their bar backs, and either they choose to ignore me or just do not care. When a place can't even answer their phone or respond to basic inquiry, it raises the question if they even care about their customers or just booking the next musical act to sell tickets.

The event itself was a bit vague about details prior to the event, but it worked out. Since the event was dispersed along Atlantic Ave and Steelcraft, parking was basically wherever you wanted to start out. Participating shops and restaurants mostly sold sampler items right at their storefronts. Pricing of the food and drinks tended to be mixed with some businesses offering good deals and others a bit more questionable. One of my favorite items of the day was the cheese and meat board from The Vintage which was so generous and delicious! The beer samples from Ambitious Ales were also fantastic! Getting around the event was simple enough if you were a young adult, but if you were older or had children, I could see it being an issue. They did have the double-decker buses which were fun to ride, but they were slow so getting around the event might've taken you a while given how big the route was. Another issue that could be improved next time would be managing the lines. Certain booths around the event had horrible lines. This was particularly noticeable at places offering beer as the full menu was basically being offered. This was also a problem at places getting too much demand and running out of the food they had prepared. But thankfully, I didn't see places completely selling out of items so no disappointments there. While I didn't encounter this problem, I suspect with all these waits, people had trouble spending all of their tickets because of the delays. I saw a few groups of people with large amounts of tickets nearing the end of the event. Overall, I loved this event. The spin on the tasting event with the buses was a lot of fun and made for a great afternoon of day drinking. I suspect that there were 2 buses running during the event, 3 might've been a bit more helpful in shuttling people quicker. But i would love to see this event come back, had an amazing time!

And since we first walked through the doors, we were in love. In love with the atmosphere, the perfectly pulled pints, the food (Dear God the Corned Beef Sandwich is a religious experience! ) and the characters of the staff. We've spent many occasions and life's moments here as well, From birthday dinners to at one time making it out Sunday Supper place to catch a traditional set and our dinner. The Sunday musicians are so good back in 2012 we hired a few to play at our engagement party, and brought a bit of the Auld Dub into our home. Today was no different, popped In for a family birthday celebration and stayed for a Sunday set. The music was fabulous the food amazing and the staff excellent! Ordered the usual: Curry Chips (cooked extra Well Done), and the best corned beef sandwich this side of the Atlantic! It's served perfectly on a crunchy swirled rye bread with an amazing apple jam of apples and caramelized onions. Just excellent! We also ordered an Irish Full Breakfast, which my soul craves every now and then! Basically you can't go wrong eating here.
