I've embraced the pedicure life. I can almost call myself a connoisseur. Okay, that's a stretch, but I know a good pedicure when I'm on the receiving end and Mrs. Helen just blew me away. My wife and I are spending the weekend being spoiled and this may be the highlight of our trip to Easton. I was treated to the Luxury Pedicure and she got the Deluxe with gels as two walk-ins on a Saturday afternoon. We are so blessed by the love and energy Mrs. Helen put into taking care of us. ********Long Post Warning****** Today I decided to get my nails and a Pedi done since church service was over kinda early. I went to Helen' Nail Salon in Easton where I normally go. I got there at 1 PM. I was told to pick my color and to have a seat so I can get my petty done. So after I picked my color I went to have a seat to have my feet done and they were pretty busy I understand that. So I was patient and I waited about 45 minutes to an hour for them to start working on my feet in the meantime five or six White people come in after me The strange thing was they all were finished before me,although they came in after me. So what broke the camels back was the gentleman came in At 2:32 PM even though his appointment was at 4 PM. At this time it's about 3:28 PM. I slid my seat back and I said Helen and I don't understand what's going on here. I come here every two weeks and this happens to me every time I'm just curious as to what is the problem . Helen stated he has an appointment, I said I understand that but it's only 3:28 and his appointment is at 4 o'clock so why didn't you take me first. I used the massage chair 3 times for 27 minutes each. The lady who did my feet was nice but extremely slow. The gentleman who did the lady feet next to me did two people and my lady was still rubbing on my legs. She didn't use the blue tabs when soaking my feet or anything when doing my pedi. I had to play musical chairs because all of them don't do nails. That too I understand. I'm aware of the young lady being in training as well. I have allowed her to do my nails and tip her as I would anyone else. Just to go back the next day because my gel polish has chipped and I paid full price of 100.00 without any designs. Not Including her tip. I believe in giving you a chance to right your wrong. So I spoke to Helen directly her response was "You can go elsewhere if you don't like it, I only have two hand and two feet. I can't please everybody. I informed her point well taken I will be doing just that. I left there at 4:25 pm. The moral of the story is people will treat you how you allow them to. I was happy when Helen did my nails but the last two times have been terrible. The second to last I thought was great but the polish started peeling on the second day. The last time it started chipping the next day. I also am very specific about filing the sides of my nails and especially in a back and forward motion. It weekend the nails. Well the last visit he took all of my gel off and I told him my nails need that so I can keep them. I use my hands a lot and I am always washing. them. The day after the polish started chipping and the sides of my nails started breaking. Due to the holidays no time to go get repaired. I ended out on Christmas Day with three broken nails one of them so far back I can hardly use my thumb at all. I will never ever go back. The customer is the one paying so they should get what they want and what they are paying for!!!!!!! read more

Well.... I show them what I wanted and I got nothing close. Nails were uneven lengths. Paid $45 for a deluxe pedicure and got a basic one. Didn't even have smooth feet afterwards. Gel mani with full set $55 not worth it. They rushed like crazy and it shows read more

I literally just left the nail shop and look how my nails look ? I try to tell her, she needs to paint the whole nail , but she WONT listen. She keeps arguing that she "knows what she is doing". I got tired and I just let her be and left with a half done , cuticles still pointing out after I paid my $30 bucks. She is very rude. Don't listen to her customers. In the past , I have had her wax my upper lip. I told her SEVERAL times that I have a very sensitive skin, to cool the wax and to be gentle. But she never listens. She just does whatever she wants. I keep begging her to once listen but she doesn't care. My face breaks out as you see in the picture. I had stopped having her wax my lips. This was the first time I had her do my nails and what a fail?!?? I had an appointment and she didn't see me until 20 minutes after my appointment time (she was working on someone else). With this manicure, I tried to ask for what I want as a paying customer , she kept says "every time you don't trust me". How can I trust her when she always messes up with what I want done. When I got tired , I said "i have to find somewhere else to go". She replied " it is up to you honey, you are the one with the money". She didn't even attempt to rectify what is making me unsatisfied. Then she kept saying "every time you come here you say , I will go somewhere else. You can go honey. It's up to you". Which is a LIE. I have never said that to her but she kept reacting it , I asked her to please stop saying that because it is not true . She still won't. And then she started slamming things. All of this is happening , while there are customers there. I was just being calm and asking for a service but she was all being rude and doing what She wants , not what I want. And she is supposed to be the owner. Lol. I gave it two stars because I had other workers do my nails in the past and they are more respectful and great than she is. DONT GO THERE. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HELEN. Here employees are much better than she is. If you have to go there, i wouldn't do to her specially if your are particular about what you want. read more

Terrible manicure and pedicure--not because the person was not skilled, I think he did the best he could--but because they have a terrible assortment of Opi and Essie polished I could only find the color I wanted in a brand called zoya and it's a terrible product. He did three coats on my toes and it still looks terrible and almost bald in some spots. I will never go there again read more

I made a 12 o'clock eyebrow appt. Waited for 15 minutes to get my eyebrows waxed. Also, the technician that waxed my eyebrows had a very nasty attitude. I handed her my credit card to pay for services. She slams my credit card on the counter and slams my receipt and pen and walks off without even saying thank you or come again. I brought my friend with handicap here to pamper her and grab a pedicure myself. They juggled things to accommodate both of us side by side. At no point did they slight my friend. The staff was cheerful, gave us great service and very inviting overall. They also have good ventilation so you are not overwhelmed by the nail polish odors. 5 stars all the way. read more

Spent 5 hours in 2 days in this place, long story short, they have absolutely NO clue how to do Pink & Whites... they had the same man the very next day to repair what they had done the previous day.... told me that because I wanted short nails they couldn't do anything. Loved going the first 2 visits. Quiet, sooo relaxing. The next time, two young girls were talking so loud next to me while getting a pedi. They were employees, but were bored, giving pedis to each other. But it was one of the best pedis ever! I've gone back & it's hit or miss. I'm only writing this review because I'm astounded at the negative reviews this place got. I went here two weeks ago and had a great manicure. The staff was pleasant, the overall vibe was relaxing, and the polish selection was great. I got a great manicure for a low price which was exactly what I was looking for. No matter what salon I've gone to I've always Left with a decent manicure. Even when I didn't particularly care for then place. This was the very worst. Given by the owner. She was rough and sloppy and I am bleeding in three places. She couldn't get the color right she left the edges rough and the polish askew. Another girl who did the pedicure was not much better. Sloppy and hardly paid attention to what she was doing. I would never return. read more

To agree with the first comment, Helens is a fine nail salon if you do not have the man with longer hair do your nails. I too bled multiple times and he used the blue liquid to stop the bleeding. He took a chunk out of my ring finger which I'm hoping does not get infected. He likes to make a mess of your hands and then just go around the skin with remover. Very nice and welcoming place.Very important that the place is very clean.The pedicure was excellent and manicurist took her time which made it a relaxing experience which we clients/want this pampering. I would recommend ttis place/even though it is a little pricy compare to a comparable on western shore in Pasadena md. which I was travel to 3 times a month.on several services I save $15.00 to 20.00.So I rotate between the places according to my schedule.That's me but Helens is a recommended place as stated. read more
