The people at Heli Aviation were spectacular. I can't possibly thank them enough for making their tour one of the best days of my life. I wanted to ask my girlfriend to marry me and wanted it to be in a very special way. I thought how about a scavenger hunt that leads to a helicopter tour. I called Heli aviation and told them my idea. They loved it and wanted to do whatever I needed to make this day special. I told them I wanted to have a banner made that said "WILL YOU MARRY ME? and have it on the ground so we could fly over it. I wanted her to see the sign from the air at the end of our tour. Again, the great people at Heli were onboard to help out. Everything was set. I arrived at Heli aviation 2 hours before the scheduled tour was to begin. Nick the pilot met me in the lobby. He new the perfect place to put the banner. Nick even helped me stake it to the ground. Meanwhile my girlfriend was starting her scavenger hunt. She was down to the final clue. Oh, Nick also helped me hide the engagement ring in the helicopter before she arrived. My girlfriend completed the scavenger hunt and I told her the prize for winning was a helicopter tour of Sarasota. She was excited but nervous since she had never been on a helicopter before. We boarded the helicopter and Nick was a great pilot. The tour was amazing. We could see many manatees and even a shark from the air. The views of Sarasota were awesome. after about 20 minutes we were starting to get back to the airport. Nick gave me the clue to start my proposal as we approached the banner. I ask my girlfriend to look out her window and down on the ground. When she looked back I had the ring ready. She said "YES"!!!! Thanks again to everyone at Heli aviation for making this day so special. I highly recommend Heli aviation and will defiantly use them again. Maybe as a wedding gift. Time to get another scavenger hunt ready. read more

What an amazing day! I loved our Tour. And this is a fantastic company, and we had the perfect tour in such a beautiful city. Nick, the owner, was very easy to book with, and responded within 24 hours to every email. We were met promptly by our tour guide, Katie, who gave us a great aerial tour of Sarasota and the surrounding islands. Katie was a phenomenal guide! She has so much passion for Sarasota, it's history, it's politics and it's culture, and she was able to share all this with me and my two daughters (11 and 13) in a compelling and interesting way. We learned so much, and had a lot of fun. We did some special things we wouldn't have discovered on our own (the Ringling Museum, the kayak place on Lido, etc), as well as saw many of the best aspects of Sarasota itself. She learned what interested us very quickly, and made sure to point out special things we would enjoy. While this area is an easy city to walk around, we never would have had seen and learned so much without Katie. I cannot recommend this tour company enough! Thank you read more

A simple search on the manatee county website will show niclas herle stands accused (Via the arresting officer of the SRQ Airport Police ) of pointing a loaded firearm in someones face and threatening their life in front of their child as well as domestic charges, etc. Look for yourself at the public record, I do not recommend placing your safety in his hands. Look closely at the reviews on here and on trip advisor, they are all made up accounts made by niclas herle. Including the one he made just 4 minutes after my review to hide it (katie freeman, which is allegedly one of his pilots). Heli Aviation is currently facing Eviction for all of this and the owner's "volatile and violent personality". The eviction is also on manatee county clerk of court official record read more

My children have not stopped talking about our tour, and I haven't either! Every where I travel I try to make a point to take a helicopter tour, and this place really swept me off my feet. The pricing is incredible for the tours they offer, and the customer service is so genuine and welcoming. Most companies make you feel like another number in a line, but this place offers personalized private tours, and gives that extra special effort that they honestly don't have to. From the time I called in to ask about the tours offered, to when I actually arrived I was welcomed and treated like VIP. Being a single mom always makes me nervous when I bring my children to these types of experiences, but they engaged my children, and showed them the other helicopters and made them feel special. Their training is so real-world based, that its easy to use those skills for future jobs. They have a wide range of aircraft available, which give you the chance to experience each one with all its pro's and cont's. Their instructors are knowledgeable and skilled, due to the fact that Heli Aviation is a utility operator as well, and that helps them to teach you the stuff they experience every day. Highly recommend this company. Super professional outfit, super professional pilots and instructors. You never see this with any other company I had flown before. Very well organized and structured training syllabuses for all of their training courses. I got finished my private with ~45hrs in less than 4-weeks, then commercial in 8 weeks (of which I took one week off to travel the area with my family). Super happy about my decision to have done my training with Heli Aviation. I will return for my IFR once my funds are available. See you guys soon. read more

Probably one of the best flight schools out there. Highly recommended. Staff is super professional in and out. Always friendly and they use simple teaching techniques so everyone can follow and understand things easier. This speeds up the process and makes the 4-week private pilot training a success. Very professional run company with a bunch of well maintained aircraft in all sizes. They will show you around the facility, if you ask and definitely an interesting thing to see.
