I am a new client at Helix and so far I have been treated by Jennifer and Melissa. They are both extremely thorough, knowledgable, and very professional while still friendly and comfortable. I have been very impressed by the thorough notes they take before and after each session, which helps one pick up where the other left off, and also keeps track of my progress and goals. I'm glad they are conveniently located in my neighborhood, but I would gladly drive to see them; this level of service would definitely be worth the drive and parking (there is always street parking - usually right out front - and it's only $1.50/hr). Holy crap, why has it taken me so long to get a massage? I bitch and complain about sore muscles and how much I need a massage but never do anything about it. After coming to Helix, I know the power of massage and will be getting a lot of them. The room is very comfortable. Relaxing music and a warm, comfortable bed for you to lay on as you get your massage. Melissa was a very good massage therapist. I got a Yelp deal for about $10 off a massage and it was more than worth it. I may have to treat myself to another one sometime soon. Like everyone else has said, Danielle is amazing! She seems to know where I hurt before I even know I hurt and then she gets at it the problem area. She always asks what is going on with your body so she can focus on different areas. She knows when to dig in and when to have a light touch. The environment is calm and welcoming. The beds are always warm, the music is nice and sometimes you will get oils that smell really nice too. My one complaint is that they don't let you sleep in the rooms after your massage! They should have sleeping rooms so you can pass out from the shear relaxation of it all! Keep up the good work Danielle! read more

I was thoroughly impressed with this business starting with my first phone call with Nicolette. She was incredibly helpful and really went out of her way to assist me and answer any and all questions I had. Talk about customer service! She was wonderful. I had my massage by Jennifer and was SO happy with everything from start to finish. She took time to talk to me and discuss problem areas, any issues I was having, and what I wanted from my massage. She was incredibly informative and kind and it was obvious that she truly wanted to help. The massage itself was complete heaven. After wards, we were talking about when I should come back and I had to stop her and say, "I'm sorry, I feel like a zombie right now" because I literally felt like I was made out of jello and walking on a cloud. My experience has been awesome. I've had on and off again back issues for over a decade, and my last episode felt crippling. I had trouble walking, sitting, sleeping--couldn't put on pants while standing. Initially, I got massages to get any immediate relief while I searched for a physical therapy service. But after just 2 sessions with Megan, I've rapidly recovered (culprit was super tight quad leading to rotated hip leading to terrible low back pain) and can't wait to go jog and play soccer again. Awesome! I've been seeing Jennifer for nearly over a year and a half and she is by far the best massage therapist I've had. She always asks how I am doing and if there is anything new since my last session with her. She is able to adjust her technique and intensity with her intuition. At the beginning, she even spent extra time to teach me some stretches to do at home. Nicolette at the front is very profession and courteous. I only wished they had online scheduling available. All these great reviews don't lie. I just had my first appointment here with Megan and it went great. She was very nice and professional, leaving me feeling very relaxed (seriously, I don't know if I have ever felt this relaxed). She also offered great and thorough advice, explaining to me just why my body was feeling sore and how to help ease the soreness/achiness on my own. The atmosphere is very homy (it's located in an older building) which makes it comfortable but without losing a professional vibe. I had a massage today with Danielle. I think this was one of the best massage experiences I've ever had. Danielle not only worked on my back and massaged me, but she examined my problem areas (lower back/hip and left shoulder) to try to figure out why they were hurting and what I needed to do to make it stop hurting. I didn't feel like just another body/client that she had to get through massaging, I actually felt like she was now invested in my well-being. Danielle concentrated on my problem areas (mainly my left shoulder) and was able to figure out the general problem....I've strained my muscles in that area a bit too much and they're tight. After my massage (which was fabulous and relaxing), she even gave me "homework." Exercises to do that would hopefully relieve the pain and help the situation. I really appreciated it and she was really great in explaining why I should do what she suggested and why I was in pain. I've done quite a few massages at various places, but it was treated more as a one time deal...you come in for a relaxing massage and you leave and don't come back. Danielle made it feel more like therapy, you go in, feel better, but she makes you want to come back to stay better. read more

Five stars has to be the limit, but I'd recommend another tier for the work that Danielle does at Helix. Every massage starts with Danielle listening intently to any issues or health problems that may have occurred since the last visit. During the massage she is responsive to those needs and is able to use touch to find other problem areas that you may not even be aware of. Every massage is completely different and a potpourri of techniques ends in one consistent result - complete relaxation. Seriously Rochelle is the BEST massage therapist I have EVER been to. I just changed the amount of time for my appointments from 60 minutes to 90 minutes to get extra time with her. I have insurance-approved massage and was referred to Helix by another provider who didn't accept my insurance. I see Jen weekly now, and she is fantastic. She's very thorough, professional, and listens to my concerns. My only question is whether or not I should be tipping. I tip for a relaxation massage but this is medical-focused. I don't tip my doctor when I visit her, but always feel guilty about not tipping when I leave Helix. read more

Lucky for me, Helix Massage was an in network provider for my health insurance. I looked on here at the reviews and decided to give them a try. These reviews are spot on. All of my appointments were with Megan, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is. She really gets to know your body and its needs and works on them during the session. Then she gives great exercises/stretches you can do at home to continue to help relieve the pain. All of this makes for a great massage therapist. But, the quality that puts her a cut above the rest is her energy. She has such a positive and calming energy. Another plus is that she is experienced and very knowledgeable in prenatal/fertility massage. Love this place! read more

Megan has the healing power that's a true gift of nature -- she has transformed and healed my prenatal and now post-partum body and taught me to relax amid a very stressful time. I know it sounds crazy, but I was SO nervous to get a medical massage. I had a prescription from my Doctor for headaches and neck aches. I had a squeamish feeling about a stranger touching me. I had never gotten a massage before. Megan not only made me feel really at ease and comfortable, I truly feels like she listens to me. My back, neck and head feel so much better. Jenn is the best Massage therapist ever! She is awesome at working with prenatal massages. I am currently pregnant and I would highly recommend her. Helix has a great location in lower Queen Anne and typically parking is pretty easy on the street. The rooms are specious, quiet and make you feel very relaxed. I've been going to Helix and seeing Jennifer for several months now (I followed her from her last location). The staff is wonderful and it's a very welcoming place to unwind and relax. Jennifer is amazing, hospitable and extremely relational. She feels like a friend now and is very in tune with my stress levels and what I need in order to feel re-energized. I really like the fact that they will take the time to listen to your current ache or pain, and target that problem as well as everything else connected to it during your session. LOVE this place. The building is a neat old Queen Anne original, the office is cute and staff is very friendly. I began going here because of headaches; being a photographer, my back/neck complain from the heavy equipment I lug around as well as the computer work. Since seeing Melissa the headaches have subsided and the moving parts of my neck/back seem to work better. She always takes a few minutes to ask how things are, what I've been feeling like, how has work been so she can tailor the massage session to what I need. I'd seen Danielle before and really liked her and have recommended her to friends. She's one of the best therapists I've ever seen. Many therapists ask you where you want to focus on but then do their full body routine, not tailored to your needs. But Danielle really treated (and fixed!) aches and pains I had. Anyway, I couldn't get in to see her when my schedule allowed so I saw Melissa. Also, Melissa has a lot of experience with pregnancy massage (as I'm now prego). Omigosh... Today was my first appointment, and I wish it never ended. I am 9 months pregnant, and went in for my first prenatal massage of this pregnancy. Megan was my therapist, and all I can say is that I wish I would have done this twice a month for the past 9 months. Megan is very compassionate, and has amazing hands. She is well educated in the art of prenatal massage. I was in good hands and so was my baby. I also wanted to note, that in general, the overall practice is very welcoming. One of those deals where you walk in and you are really only a stranger for 20 seconds before you feel at home, and feel cared for. Also found out that they offer other services in regards to pregnancy. I am truly looking forward to returning as I continue to get to a peaceful place before giving birth. Highly recommend!
