I've been to Hollywood, DTLA, West Hollywood, Glendale, Santa Monica, and Studio City is still my favorite overall. Biggest thing is cleanliness. For how busy this place gets, it's always maintained. Towels are always stocked, locker rooms are constantly being cleaned, and I've never walked into a shower that was out of products. There's always staff in there keeping everything in check. Another huge win is Erewhon Studio City right next door. You finish your workout and immediately have a solid post-workout meal ready. Nothing beats that. There's no Earth Bar here, but honestly you don't even need it because Erewhon is better. You do have to time your workouts though. Early mornings before 8am are the best, weekends early are even better and usually empty. After 9-10am it starts getting packed, and evenings around 5-7pm are honestly tough if you're trying to get a smooth workout in. People complain about parking because the plaza gets busy, but I've never had an issue. I go early, get a great spot, and I'm out before it gets crazy. One issue I've raised multiple times is people bringing oils into the steam room. When they pour it in, the whole place smells, it sticks to your body and hair, and I've had allergic reactions from it. It happens less now, but when it does it completely ruins the steam room. Feels like something that could be controlled better. The vibe here is more low-key, which I like. People mind their business and just work out. Compared to Hollywood, which can feel more social and sometimes uncomfortable, Studio City feels way more normal and focused. Front desk and trainers are hit or miss. Some are great, some don't even acknowledge you. Trainers here mostly keep to themselves unless you hire them, while other locations feel more welcoming. Not a dealbreaker, just noticeable. Music is at a good level too--it doesn't interfere with your headphones, which I appreciate. At the end of the day, I'm here daily for a reason. If you figure out the timing, this is one of the best Equinox locations in LA.

I notified an employee that the bathroom was dirty. Five minutes later somebody came in and all they did was spray air freshener into every stall. There was ample amount of water on the counters. I could've been wiped off the bathroom stall walls seem like somebody just comes to spray them, but never wipes anything away. The showers are pretty dirty as hair does get left behind by people who don't wrap their hair up and I feel like there's a lot of dirt and grime on the walls and the shower curtains as well. The gym equipment is standard, but I don't like when you are on the right side of the gym and it's about to be sunset because the equipment faces the window which unless you thought to bring sunglasses can be a little bit much if you are not aware All in all, there is a lot of parking as there are two levels and I would return. I just hope that they implement a more frequent and actual cleaning service.

I spoke with Lizzie, I believe was her name. She was so kind, charismatic, informative, and made me feel comfortable over the phone. So much so that as I spoke with her on the phone shortly after I came in to sign up. I want to say a window of 30-40 min maybe less. I'm giving this a try at $85 for one month full membership then I will be switching to $70 auto pay if all goes well. I hope this experience carries on with Lizzie's energy and introduction to my gym venture. Thank you from one woman to another! Also your physique was inspiring to me I love toned arms! And then I guess the fans they had broke and they had to find replacements- IDK if this was a decision from corporate or management (which fans to get) but they downsized MAJORLY. The new fans are so pathetic it's not even funny I'm constantly DRENCHED in sweat and I know it was probably cheaper! They're like fr half the size of the old fans!!!! I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been extremely disappointing…read more I was incorrectly charged for my membership for two months in a row. During my first month, an employee set up the wrong membership, adding access to a location I never requested and a Buddy Pass I never asked for. Instead of paying about $25, I was charged almost $50 because of their mistake. The following month, my bank declined the automatic payment because I had recently closed that account. As soon as I learned about it, I immediately went to the gym and paid my membership in person. Despite paying right away, I was still charged an additional returned payment fee, leaving me paying twice again. I emailed customer service explaining everything in detail and politely requested a resolution. My email has been completely ignored. Mistakes happen, but charging customers incorrectly twice and then failing to respond at all is unacceptable. I expected much better customer service and hope management takes this issue seriously.

I joined ACF at the height of the pandemic in 2020. All gyms had closed and I desperately needed to…read morerelease my stress since I'm in healthcare and never stopped working during the lockdown. ACF had outdoor workouts that really kicked your butt and followed the COVID guidelines. My biggest concern was walking into a gym and being shamed for not doing the workout correctly. I remember having to do handstand push up and making a complete fool out of myself because I would fall with each attempt. Thankfully, the community and environment Karlos, John, and all the ACF coches have built made me get back up each time and try again and even modifying the workouts to strengthen the muscles to get to specific movements. ACF isn't just a gym, but my safe haven. There are days where I feel defeated and don't want to workout, but once I'm there, I feel great and happy I made it in. Also, I NEVER saw myself in spartan races. I'm in awe that I'll be completing my second run with ACF members in just a few weeks. I'm a whole different version of myself and I couldn't be more grateful for my AFC family. ‍‍‍

Crazy work People continue to walk in the sauna with sneakers, hang wet clothes on the rack where the sauna is actively on, and oh now people reserve showers ahead of time they leave their items hanging and go lounge in the pool or sauna.
