There is a variety of opinions on everything but I am popularly know as being picky and appreciating good food. I drive a long ways and keep coming back because the food is always hot, fresh and delicous. The owners and their staff are great caring people and will continue to get my business and reccomendation. If you want the typical fast food burger that comes out i a few minutes or someone to carry your drink then McDonalds drive thru. read more

Hell Rayzor's is a hidden gem in this tiny town. My friend introduced me to the place a couple years ago and we try to stop by whenever we're nearby or on the way to Manhattan. It's a biker bar for sure, but family friendly. What's really outstanding are the burgers. Tbh there's not much else on the menu, but with burgers this good, no other choice is necessary. The beef is high quality and grilled to perfection. Sports on the TVs and a nice selection of beers, including some local craft beers. Oh, and server Bobbi is a hoot. Been here several times. Each experience is new. The only small town part is the individualized personalized service. Big town taste, big town amazing!!! Valentine's Day dinner was beyond anything I would have expected despite having had their steaks & burgers on previous occasions. Old school feel and decorations. Love the atmosphere. Bobbi the owner is a super cool lady!! Bobbi your cream of asparagus soup was indescribably beyond expectations, I really thought my mom was hiding in the kitchen thank you. This place is family friendly. It really seems like a biker bar. Its food is second to none. Blind Tiger craft brews on tap. You can't beat this one off, one of a kind place!!! Decided to give this place a try because I'd been hearing good things about it. I'm not sure why. Saturday night, I'd say a small to medium crowd. No problem finding a seat. Sat for a good 10 minutes before being approached by a staff member. I'd call him a waiter but really he seemed to be the waiter, bar tender, cashier, and bus boy. You get your own drinks, a sign with that information would have been nice. There was no menu on the table so after a good twenty minutes we finally got a menu. This is a burger place. Well Burgers and chicken strips. Very simple menu. Simple is good if execution is great. Unfortunately. Execution fell short. My order was a single (1/2lb) burger, cooked medium rare, pepperjack cheese, Sriracha Mayo, mushrooms and grilled jalapeños. The other party with me ordered a single, medium well, mozzarella cheese, BBQ sauce, mushrooms. My medium rare was medium well, her medium well was well done. So why didn't we send them back? By the time we received our overcooked burgers we had been there over an hour already. For burgers and fries. I hadn't mentioned the fries until now because, well they aren't worth mentioning. They were fry shaped and edible with enough salt on them. Without the salt, they were flavorless mush in your mouth. So, really not worth the effort to get to. I would say nice for a small town bar and grill but I've been to plenty of small town bar and grills that serve delicious food without making you wait forever. If there was anywhere closer to eat we would have walked out and gone somewhere else. read more

Worst experience!!!! Would NOT recommend. I ordered my meal and my bacon came out cold. When I told my server my bacon was cold she told the cook and he lost it. Started yelling and throwing stuff in the kitchen (I heard this from my seat). He yelled across the restaurant "who is bitching about cold bacon". I said I was. He came out to my table, yelled at me and said there was no way the bacon was cold. I held it up and said, honestly it really isn't even cooked. I held it up and it was Limp. Again continued to yell at me. I told him that was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. He said if you don't like it you can leave. This display was from the OWNER. WON'T BE BACK. He completely embarrassed my whole family which we took there bc we have in the past had good experience and good food. Unacceptable behavior especially from the owner. read more

I have always enjoyed going here, was one of my favorite places to eat. The last couple of times we have went the waitresses were drunk and service was not good. Tonight i will not be back. Ok, so I am from Kansas, but live in Los Angeles, and my dad was like, we have to go to lunch at this garage in Harveyville. I have eaten in a lot of small town joints, and I like small town joints, but I've also tried a lot of the 'best burgers' in Los Angeles, New York, and elsewhere so I wasn't expecting too much. So let me put this very clearly: This was the best burger I've ever had in my life. It was preternaturally delicious, huge, laden with all kinds of fun choices and loads of fries (I think I had avocado? likesay, Los Angeles). It was deep winter, but we were next to the huge roaring fireplace and space heaters; the space is full of fun places to sit, interesting stuff to look at. Both Bobbi and Kevin came over at different points to talk. We told them we thought the burgers were amazing and better than anything we'd tasted in California, and he mentioned he's from Ventura actually. So we felt even more pleased to have a secret gem of our own in Wabaunsee County Kansas. I know this is an absurdly over-the-top review, but you can check me: I don't say it when I don't mean it. My husband has decided he doesn't want to eat any hamburgers that aren't Hell Rayzor burgers from now on--which is a serious claim, considering we live 1600 miles away. read more

Tried this place for the first time. The food was hot and good. The service was very slow. I had the grandkids and there was a bouncy house, crayons, and other child friendly stuff for them to do. I'd recommend it as long as you're not in a hurry. read more

I came here for the first time a few days ago with my parents. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had been told I needed to go. The atmosphere was pretty good, and my burger was good too. The french fries are real and they make them there. The burgers come in several sizes: large, larger, and extra large. We went on a Friday evening with a couple of our friends who suggested it. The screened in area with a fireplace was where we sat, and the aroma of wood smoke & the warmth of the fire took the chill off. Hell Rayzor's advertises their "big ass burgers" as their claim to fame, and they aren't joking. They were huge, and very tasty. The fries were a little limp, however. The waitresses were fun & attentive. The red beer was cold & the atmosphere was fun & funky. I hear the Bloody Mary is the best, and is like a salad bar with all the vegetables. Just spare yourself the pain and agony of the extremely rude owners and find a better place for a burger. Flint Hills are beautiful if you're on a ride or drive. Keep going to Lake Wabaunsee or Alma. The owners of this place cussed out our group for not making a reservation (they weren't busy) and it was 2 hours until closing time, and refused to take our food order. Told us they didn't need "our kind of people" and I quote said "adios mf'ers". We had a group out on a jeep ride through the Flint Hills. Will never step foot in that place again and if you aren't from their town, it's a crapshoot on if you're getting served. Have been looking forward to a trip from Topeka to Hell Rayzor's for a long time, finally found a Sunday afternoon to make the trip, sadly it will be our last. First off, got there just after 2pm, fairly busy but not packed. Took almost an hour for a burger. Our waitress stopped by a total of two times but interestingly she had time to take at least three smoke breaks. We are locals to the bar! We love going when the best waitress around is working, Shannon is awesome, very polite and constantly checking to make sure we have everything we need, it is a great place to just go and relax and enjoy good company.
