The STORE OWNER PROMISED next day delivery to my boyfriend for an ottoman as a birthday present to me. They told us they would be there around 2pm so on my birthday we waited and waited and waited. Called and called. They kept telling us that it was on the way the last they heard but they couldn't get in touch with their boss ( the store owner ) to confirm. Soon it was 8pm and we hadn't left the house and again it was my birthday!! One of the workers apologized and told me that it was there day off the next day and his boss would be in and promised we would get the ottoman the following day even though it was promised for the previous day and we literally had to sit in my apartment all day because we weren't sure when the delivery was coming. The next day came and we didn't hear a word!! We called and called and the same guy who told me he had off said that he didn't hear from his boss at all and wasn't sure what was happening. Now, I told him that I thought he said it was his day off and his boss would be in and he said no I think he had a fire in his basement ---- ALL LIES!!!! We only live a few blocks from the store so we took a walk down there and they were both there!!!!! I asked them if I should take off of work for the next week to receive the delivery that we already paid $400 in cash for and that was promised now two days prior!!! They apologized again and said that there was now a problem with the item in the warehouse but I would get it tomorrow (no 3 days later then promised). Tomorrow came and went --- same stories of crap and frustration! I called and called again now demanding for a refund or the ottoman. The store owner again was not there (which I am sure he was but he didn't want to speak with me) and we spoke to another worker - the same one that told us he was supposed to have a day off for the past three days promising the owner would be in and now the story changed to they would never have been able to get the ottoman to us within a day it was coming from Pennsylvania and we just had to wait. Finally the 4th day they told us we would get delivery of the ottoman in "20 minutes" - so my boyfriend called me at work to let me know and rushed to the apartment. I commuted all the way home from midtown in Manhattan to Brooklyn and stopped at the grocery store and the ottoman still wasn't there!! I called and finally the store owner was on the phone. He was angry with the furniture delivery people --- a company that is hired to deliver and said that it should have been there already and now wanted to blame everything on them - not even apologizing for us sitting in the apartment for 4 days waiting for a piece of furniture that was promised!! Meanwhile he told me that I should call the delivery service that he hired to speak to them directly since I had been waiting. The last time I checked we paid him for services to arrange this - I did not become the manager of delivery! Ugh! We finally got the ottoman 4 draining days after --- -- I called the store owner around 745 and asked them if they would stay open (knowing that they closed at 8) until we received the ottoman. They told me no problem that they usually close at 830. After we received the piece I called them to tell them we got it (not sure why ) and they had closed at 8 for the night! These people are liars and cheats! I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase ANYTHING From there and hope that no one else does! PS i forgot to mention the ottoman that we received was not the one we ordered. We ordered all black and they sent us black and white --- but at this point i will live with the wrong color --- i wish never to speak to anyone who is so dishonest again!
