We brought our pup here on a recent trip to Frankenmuth and bought her lots of treats! She can be quite picky so we got some cookies from the display as well as some prepackaged meaty treats. She also found a toy she liked as we walked through the store and I bought myself a bone shaped magnet with her name on it to put up on our door. The shop is very cute inside and out and there is lots to look at. We met plenty of other pups while we were inside and there is a sign that says when you shop online $1 from every sale will be located to a local pet charity. I love that. This is a cute shop, definitely worth checking out if you are an animal lover in the area and even if you're not, you can shop online knowing some of the proceeds are going towards a great cause. read more

This shop is such a great shop to stop inside if you have cats or dogs. We have a lot of animals in our household so we stopped in to see what they have. There are tons of toys along the whole side of the wall. There are some fun items and souvenir items as well. They have a small little bakery area with dogs treats. I do wish that they had more options available for the treats. We were looking for bags of treats for our dogs and we only saw single treat options. Overall it is a cute store abd we picked up a things. read more

This place was cute. We stopped in here yesterday while in the River Place Shops since my boyfriend has two cats. They have a large selection of dog and cat toys, he ended up buying two small toys for his cats. If this was any indication, the toys will be popular with them - we dropped off all our Frankenmuth stuff then went out to get dinner, and when we came back apparently one of the cats had jumped onto the counter to get it, drooled all over it, and left it on the floor, lol. I forget if the toy had catnip in it or not (betting yes due to this). Overall worth stopping by here if you have pets. read more

Whenever we are out of town, we love seeking out a pet shop to bring home something special to our cats (yes, we are those people, don't judge). This was a super cute little shop and I loved that they had items we can't find at pet shops back at home. We even bought a catnip filled turtle that said Frankenmuth on it - I mean, the cats can't read, but I'm sure they think it's pretty fantastic anyway. If you've got cats or dogs - definitely stop in. I'm a pet lover. My wife and I have three fur babies right now. The first time I walked into the store, I was amazed at the selection. The bakery inside tends to skew toward dogs and not so much cats, but they do have some bags of cat treats and cat nip, etc. Most of the baked goods are for the dogs, so I was a little bummed about that. Why not have an equal parts cat/dog bakery? Despite the bakery being mostly all about doggies, they do a ton of cat toys, collars, bowls, stickers, calendars, art, figurines, even outfits, plus all the dog accessories you could think of. If you want it or can think of it, it looks like they most likely would have it. Great merchandise, okay prices. This is absolutely a boutique pet store, it's not Pet Smart or a small town mom and pop pet shop, but they do have some things I haven't found elsewhere. The bakery aspect is really the selling point here, but I do wish it catered more to cats instead of just dogs. Cats need love and treats, too! It is a well-organized store, well-stocked and the employees that I've dealt with directly were very nice and tried to help as much as possible. I'm surprised they have as much stock in such a small space, but they do it without the store looking cluttered. It's one of the better stores in the River Place mall. read more

The best pet accessories store I've been to (I feel really strange/embarrassed writing that, but whatever)! Raining Cats and Dogs carries a huge selection of costumes, outfits, collars, decorations, and you name its for your pet. Every thing in the store is unique and creative, too - nothing that you can find at PetSmart or Pet Co. - and the owner is amazing and you can tell she loves what she does! I do agree that the cat department is definitely not as huge as the dog department - but come on. They're cats. They hate you any way. read more

Quaint little store on the main street in Frankenmuth. Having cats, I had to stop in on my way back to my car after eating at the brewery up the street. The store is very roomy inside with many, many items. Owner and staff were very friendly and there were a couple pooches hanging out as well! I only knock off one star because the cat-themed selection wasn't very broad. If you're a dog fan, you're in luck! read more

I recently bought a ham bone there for my dog and gave it to her when we got home. She's been sick for the past two days now with diarrhea and hasn't been eating her food at all. I actually decided to look it up after my friend who is a pet sitter, told me that ham bones are not good for dogs to have. I'm not sure why this store is continuing to sell these bones to people when it is unsafe. I was completely unaware that it was unsafe for dogs and I'm hoping that anyone who sees this, sees how dangerous it is and doesn't buy any from this store. Also, the prices are really expensive for what little they do have. Please beware of what's safe for pets before you buy!! As I've learned in this lesson. read more
