NO name stated of his, no normal phone etiquette before asking about appointments--he just immediately asked if I would be scheduling a BRAZILIAN. Practically threw up in my mouth, I was just immediately so uncomfortable and grossed out. Will be finding somewhere else to go to, expeditiously!! EDIT: Thank you for the additional information that wasn't known to me when I made the original comment. I've never had a bad experience at the business in the past, and I reacted in the immediate shock of the encounter. Over the years, TWB had become a space where I felt safe, particularly because my experiences there had always been with women. I've had traumatic experiences in the past that have led me to intentionally seek out women-only spaces whenever possible, which is why this interaction affected me so strongly. With the additional context, I recognize that my original characterization was stronger than warranted and understand now that the questions were part of the business's standard process. In hindsight, I think there was a misunderstanding on both sides of the encounter. I appreciate the clarification and have reconsidered my initial assessment, which is reflected in my updated review.

I've received aesthetician services from her including lash lifting and tinting (SO much less of a pain than extensions), eyebrow design, and facials, as well as some reflexology work. I plan to visit for a sound therapy session to see how it aids with issues of stress and anxiety. The atmosphere of her office space is so relaxing, and I always feel well taken care of and pampered. She talks to you prior to your appointment to see what your needs are, to see if there's anything else that she can do for you, and lets you know what to expect. The place was very clean and she explained extra disinfection/sanitation precautions due to COVID, which put me at ease since I am currently expecting. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing too. Sharon was very warm, approachable, and does a wonderful job not only at what she does but at putting you at ease and helping you relax. It's only been a few days since my appointment and I'm already noticing the difference between waxing and sugaring and let's just say I will definitely be going back--not only because of the results but because I really like Sharon! She even checked in on me a few days later to see how things were going, which was so thoughtful of her. I only had sugaring done, but she provides other services as well, and regardless, I would HIGHLY, DEFINITELY, ABSOLUTELY, 150% recommended going to see Sharon!

The gel polish has bubbles throughout and is on my skin and cuticles and completely uneven and outside the lines. I have never had my nails look so poorly and I've been to a lot of different salons over the years. I came home and immediately tried to fix them to the best of my ability. The staff was friendly but the salon was a mess. The station I sat at was covered in dust and the protective shield up from Covid was covered in splatters and stains. The light for the gel polish was also filthy. They didn't put a towel down or any sort of wrist rest and I left covered in nail dust. For $70, I would highly recommend finding another spot to go. I try not to leave negative reviews but I felt like I had to warn other people who rely on Yelp reviews when deciding to visit a new salon.

No reservations needed, walk-ins welcome! A gut named Harry took care of my wife's feet and a wonderful young lady named Courtney took on the challenge of my feet. The chairs have built-in massage, so that was awesome. Dipped my feet in the luxurious warm, great smelling water. Okay, I honestly don't know all the steps we went through, but there was foot and leg massaging, warm paraffin wax, some cheese-gratering, smoothing, sugar scrubbing and more. Courtney was so pleasant and funny and she has very strong hands. She made me so comfortable with the whole process. I did find out that my feet are surprisingly ticklish, but even that was fun(ny). I succumbed to peer pressure from my wife and other customers and even allowed my nails to be painted a very macho shade of jet black. All-in-all, this was a super fun and relaxing way to spend some time getting self-care. I highly recommend Fancy Nails Spa!
