But their specials caught my eye. They go far beyond their menu so be sure to check them out. After two hard days hiking in the Wallowas, I wanted to eat something healthy so I had their Spinach Salad with grilled chicken. It was perfect and the fresh berries in it were amazing! I was also surprised to see this place also serves craft cocktails. I didn't have it but they had a special that was very creative and looked quite tasty. The greatest surprise was the live music. I was here on a Thursday night and it seems like a few places in town start music on those nights after a quiet week. Two bands played. They were both awesome. A few folks started swing dancing. I stayed until closing. So fun! And service was super friendly, especially towards an obvious outsider that I was that night. I hope to return to Joseph someday soon and will definitely return here!

Great outdoor seating with friendly staff and quick service. We split a pesto veggie calzone with a salad and some beer. We both hadn't had a calzone in years but it truly knocked our socks off. Such crisp dough, fresh filling, and really good sauces (ranch, hot honey, marinara). The salad was delicious and appreciated after many days of backpacking meals.
