I came here while staying in Joseph and I'm so glad I did! They surprised me in many ways. First, the food. The menu is your typical list of burgers and such. That looked good. But their specials caught my eye. They go far beyond their menu so be sure to check them out. After two hard days hiking in the Wallowas, I wanted to eat something healthy so I had their Spinach Salad with grilled chicken. It was perfect and the fresh berries in it were amazing! I was also surprised to see this place also serves craft cocktails. I didn't have it but they had a special that was very creative and looked quite tasty. The greatest surprise was the live music. I was here on a Thursday night and it seems like a few places in town start music on those nights after a quiet week. Two bands played. They were both awesome. A few folks started swing dancing. I stayed until closing. So fun! And service was super friendly, especially towards an obvious outsider that I was that night. I hope to return to Joseph someday soon and will definitely return here! read more

The Range Rider serves expertly prepared food and drinks. Their fish and chips are especially well done. When we went, they were very busy but the wait time was reasonable. The servers were polite and efficient. The serving area was clean and well appointed with a western ranch flair. I come from a family of chefs. read more

An hour and a half after ordering our food we still were not served. The nice server had no explanation. We finally left hungry. We are a couple in our 70s and can only guess that this was because we were not locals. My kind of dive bar. On a side street in this little burb. They have picnic tables on the sidewalk where you can enjoy dinner and a brew. Wait staff is fine. Food is "ok". No one bothers you if you don't want to be bothered. Met a few local girls there and had nice conversations while watching the sunset. I get to Enterprise now and then and this is my go-to hangout at the end of the day. They pretty much roll up the sidewalk late afternoon so this is one of the few places that are still open after dark. read more

Best burger I've had. Took awhile to get the burger, but still damn good. The drinks and food are well deserving of 5 stars. The service did lack though. Our server was fairly attentive, but the kitchen is slow. (Could have been due to being understaffed) If you are as hungry as I was (was about to eat my napkin) maybe try it another night. We came in from Virginia and saw reviews on Range Rider and how great the food was. I will say, we weren't really impressed. Our waitress wasn't very friendly, seemed irritated that she had to wait on a table of 8, forgot our silverware, sauces, straws, came back once or twice to refill our beers and drinks. Just wasn't impressed at all and probably wouldn't return even if we are just visiting! read more

We went there for dinner on a lovely Wednesday evening. I had the veggie burger with a green salad and flushed it down with a local Golden Ale. My cute, little wifey had the coconut chicken with fries, accompanied by a fruity adult beverage. Both kids burgers were outstanding, as were our two items. I have been a customer on several occasions, but unfortunately, each visit seems to continuously go downhill. The quality of food just seems meh anymore. This last visit will be my last. Our group of 4 arrived a little after one, and it took over 2 hours for our food to arrive. Cold food, and on top of this, I was overcharged No apology or communication from our server. We've came to the range rider multiple times since we've been working over here. The service has been phenomenal until 9-6-22 around 4-430 pm when we encountered a shift change to the worst service imaginable. The food was excellent as usual (the waitress on the previous shift took our food order) but after that shift change the service went south in a hurry we couldn't get a drink the waitress was absolutely rude! We asked for a drink and the waitress responded in a very unprofessional tone of voice well that's not what I was told you are drinking. After that it took my whole Meal to receive the drink along with a beer we will along with the remainder 12 employees I have over here will avoid the range rider on Tuesdays after 330 pm to avoid this service hopefully we don't encounter it on separate occasions. read more

The Range Rider is my wife and I's favorite restaurant in town. Fantastic food. The best! They change the dinner special every week and we love the options we've been given! Upscale dining with the dinner special and more down-home options on the daily menu. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Range Rider burger (one of a handful of the best burgers I've ever eaten, in my life- no joke) and a cold beer. The staff is great, too. Poor service. The waitress was slow, and forgot to bring things we asked for to the table: I asked for a straw when she brought our drinks, and 10 minutes later I had to walk over to the bar to get one myself. Same thing when we asked for napkins, and again when we asked for the bill! She never refilled our drinks or asked if our food was okay. The food was mediocre. My husbands burger was fully cooked because he asked for it well done. Mine was raw in the middle. There was so much mayonnaise that it soaked through the bun. Oh my gosh...so much yum! We were in town for day to see some friends and they met us here. My husband had the steak bites, our teenage boys had burgers and I had the veggie burger. All of it was delicious and the portions were huge. We had plenty of toys and fries to snack on later that evening. read more

I had the regular burger. It was easily one of the top ten burgers of my life. They have a set of six sauces for each table, the usual ketchup, mustard, and mayo I think. Then there are the special house sauces. Sweet spicy ketchup,sweet spicy mustard, and jalapeño ranch. I never want ketchup, mustard, or ranch any other way now.
