Cold and snowy day... January 22, 2025…read more.. Southbound on the 91outside of White River Junction, VT... sensed a strong odor of antifreeze... pulled into a gas station... Yep... broken water pump and overheating... Mind you, this GMC 2018 Sierra (fully paid off)... has gotten me completely cross country back in October, 2024... with no issues, not even a scratch... Vehicle is towed to Bob's Service Center at 10 am that day... Not Bob, but Josh... "Let's see, water pump, coolant and belt tensioner assembly need replacing... it'll be ready by two..." Josh was right on schedule... Professional, thorough, and kind... Picked up the vehicle... warranted work for 2 years/24,000 miles... back on the freeway I went... only a few hours delay... but no matter... the vehicle must be reliable... It was... Coldest day in White River Junction... This driver and owner will seek these gentlemen out for future auto repairs... they are simply the best... And kind... They explained everything... I do appreciate the thoughtful and thorough approach... A cold day driving with a vehicle failure... could have been made much more difficult... but it was not... it was a beautiful day... Bob's Service Center in White River Junction, VT... seek them out... Be prepared to be satisfied... and at a fair price... Thank you again...

Don't go anywhere else! After 5yrs of searching I found my shop. The team treats my ratty old Ford…read morediesel like it's a historic gem. Even taught me a few tips no one else knows. This team keeps both my 1990 Fussy ole Ford and my Subaru in the finest of mechanical condition for a price that is affordable. I even put them out on my Senior camping group so if a repair is needed in NH or VT they know to limp it in, drag it in, tow it in; but make sure you get it to Bobs!

Brought my 2017 Doge Grand Caravan in on two separate occasions back to back,…read more The first time my brakes were beyond messed up, my rotators, brake pads calibers were all messed up and completely done for and they got that fixed up nicely and I haven't had any trouble since. The second time I brought it back in not even 2 days having it back my steering rack and pinion was broken, I took it back to the shop so that they could fix that too, Unfortunately since all this basically happened all at once my finances were completely wrecked! but they were completely understanding about it and worked with me so it could play out best for us both and I can't be more greatful. I have a broken radio and sooner rather then later Im bringing it back to get it replaced!! Please consider these guys if your vehicle is having any trouble, They deserve the support!!

TIME LINE @ ENGLAND BROS…read more 4/13/26 brought to shop Paul said grandpa had one just like it Was thrilled to work on it. 6/22/26 picked it up Paul said he did the brake job (bleeding the brake lines) but wouldn't charge me since it took so long & couldn't complete all that I wanted done. He didn't bleed the brakes even though he SAID he had. I can't stress this enough. I knew it as I was pulling out onto John Stark Hwy. when my foot went to the floor trying to stop for traffic. In between April 13 & June 22? It was raining. It snowed. He was sick. He got behind in his jobs. It rained again. He was behind again. He was starting today. It rained. He was gonna do it tomorrow for sure & thanks for being so understanding. He'd call as soon as it was done. After a week I called him. He said he was on it. He'd call in a few days when it was done. It rained. I left a message that if he can't do it please just call & let me know so I can move on. I called 2 days later & he said I was on his call list & he just can't do the job. April 13-June 22. I was kind. I never yelled. I was understanding. When I went to pick it up he said the brakes were indeed bled but no charge for my trouble & for being so patient. Gave me a safety inspection sticker. A SAFETY INSPECTION STICKER. No longer required in NH but I wanted to be sure I was good to go. Knowing FULL WELL he hadn't done my brakes & just let me drive away. EDIT TO SAY: Just went out to check things out (it was raining yesterday when I picked it up) and found the ORIGINAL LIST I had given Paul. bleed brakes (price given $127), safety check, fix gas gauge, new battery for engine to include new mount, de-winterize it ($127), blow out the vents (n/c), attach front plate (wasn't done when I got there but he had his guy do it) and NONE OF THIS WAS DONE. What WAS done was muddy footprints & dirt everywhere, seats taken apart & not put back together, and a drawer that doesn't close now. It was clean when I brought it in. Everything in place. And now.....? What a MESS!

So you can see where he heated them up wIth a torch, Then heated the chrome on the rim till it burned the coating black. That didn't work so he hit them with a sledge hammer and missed and completely gouged/crushed/dented the chrome on another rim and then on a third tire and rim he missed again and hit the tread peeling the trad off the tire. I went to pick up the truck and he never said a word. I got home and unloaded the tires on rims from the back and saw they were beat to shat. The guys a hack, He just wants to change out parts for top price.

Not sure of the circumstances of the other reviewer but I am glad I found Jim's garage in 2020…read more First it was for inspections, then for work I didn't want to do or couldn't do. I find him to be the one of the most honest and straightforward people I've ever had to deal with, and a highly competent, imaginative mechanic. I have a good friend who has used him for more than 20 years or more for his cars. Every time my buddy drops me off for work or inspections at Jim's he sees a local that he's known for 25 years picking up or dropping off a car so Jim is doing something right. I have recommended Jim to other people and have had no complaints. In fact, I am dropping my car off there tomorrow for a job more easily done under a lift than on my back. You can't be in business for this many years with repeat business and not have a few dissatisfied customers.
