This is a consignment shop but I like to call it a thrift store. It's sort of hidden from view, as…read morein you have to go through an alley and then go down some stairs to get to this place but it's honestly so worth coming down here. They have Halloween costumes up front and all sorts of clothing that could be useful ranging from nice suit jackets for formal wear to tastefully fashionable sweaters and such and lots of cool things in between. Lots of home decor options, but this is clothing-focused as a store. I personally have been able to pick up a mug for $1, several nice beanies and hats for less than $5 each, and I probably have not had to spend over $20 in total the first time I came here. The staff are so lovely: nice women who are always helpful, as expected of the local community. Be careful! A poor woman working here left her jacket in one place for a short time and someone picked it up thinking t was part of the store asked to buy it and it was sold to her, never to be seen again by the original owner! I will definitely repeat my visit to this place it's so lovely and wonderful. My friends who thrift often say this is a very legit thrift store, something us poor college students really need for the harsh winter!

So I have never gone into a goodwill before but i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised…read moreoverall. It was very well layed out. The staff was friendly. I didn't browse through any of the aisles, just dropped off donations. What I did find minorly confusing and wasn't much of an inconvenience, was the fact that the donation dropoff center area which the main entrance was located outside the building (I didn't know this upon entering), was closed. I heard that you can ask for a donation slip to report to taxes, which isn't like a super major big deal to me, but that's something nice if you are looking to get some of it written off. I ended up just handing the bags to the attendant and that was that.

This place is very expensive. If you try to purchase dinner ware the price tag is over the mark or…read morename on the back so you will not know what you are buying. Today I found a picture I liked priced at $25. the frame was badly damaged and taped to hold it together. The picture had slipped down so you would have to get a new frame. Or I guess you could open it, tape the photo in and then tape the frame again. But this would likely fall off the wall. The manager would only come down $5. He was nasty and said someone else will buy it why should I reduce it for you. So he basically was saying he could rip someone else off if not me. You would not believe how high priced these items are. If you are low income, you can't shop here. High priced junk.
