The closest walk in is now about `10 miles south. While they will try and accommodate you if you have a need to get into see the doctor on the same day it may not happen. My primary care doctor works for this office and he is one of 6 doctors who use this office. My doctors name is Dr. Hamm and he is the nicest doctor I have ever met. I do not get the awful feeling when the door opens and in walks Dr. Hamm. He is a total gentleman and a very gentle person. Having a good visit today and had a great consultation I now know that my life of debauchery has had little effect on me. LOL!!

I visited this office once in September 2024…read more I had a great experience with the whole staff from booking the appt all the way through my appt with my doctor ,But.... For a month now I have been trying to book an appointment. But every time you call during business hrs ,you get an audio prompt,and no matter what number you press , you get the same message saying the office is closed and to call back during normal biz hrs. They have a number for after hrs exchange but that is answered by numbskulls who don't get your message to the doctor. I tried calling their other location today and got the same message but with an option to text if you needed an appt. So I'm texting trying to get a doctor appt???? And let's just say the person texting me back was not a communication expert !!!! Supposedly their phone system " has been down for over a month " wtaf??? Oh and the online patient portal says I don't exist . Oooookaaay. Never in my life have I heard or experienced a doctors office with no phone system. The very least they could do is have an outgoing message EXPLAINING THE SITUATION to patients, apologizing for the situation and give them a viable option to making an appointment or getting rxs refills. Gave them information on where I did sleep study and then waited to hear back from them. Finally called them back and was told that that company did nor deal with Medicare. They told me that they reached out to a company that excepted Medicare and that they placed the order and I should hear back from them shortly. Waited a few days , called the office back and told them that I hadn't heard back from anyone. The gave me the number and told me I could try contacting them myself. I called the C-Pap parts place and was told that the doctors office didn't give them the information they needed to fill the order. So I called the doctors office back and was told that they had sent ALL the paper work back to the parts place. Called the parts place back and was told they needed a signed order as to why this was medically necessary. Called doctors office back and was told I needed to contact my ENT doctor back or the place where I had the sleep study done. Told the lady that I didn't have a ENT doctor and that I had given them the name of the place where I had the sleep test done to begin with. They contacted them and found out that the sleep study place did not deal with Medicare. That's when the doctors officetold me the had contacted this outside company who sold parts ans delt with Medicare. Now Dr Gage'soffice is telling me that Dr Gage refused to sign off on me being able to get the parts I need for my C Pap machine. I have never delt with a more incompetent Doctor or doctors office staff. Stay clear of this man.

Their referral department policy is to wait until the day before the appointment to send it and normally it doesn't get there in time, Waste of your time and the specialist you waited a month to see. Getting the referral sent requires a lot of time calling and holding on phone for 20 minutes at a time- babysitting staff to do their job, for two days prior to your appointment. Disgusting how this process is handled at this office. Dr Gage is ok as a doctor but your only as good as your team .....

He is very thorough and is always checking in to make sure throughout the visit that he asks to see if there is anything else you may need bring up about your health. And actually listen to you while you explain things you're concern's about with your health.. His staff is aways so helpful and understanding also. Once I finally got ahold of someone, my appointment was three weeks out. That appointment got cancelled because the doctor had to go elsewhere. My VOICEMAIL notification of that was on Wednesday (appointment on Thursday). Yes, they called on Monday, but what does that matter if I don't answer and you don't leave me a voicemail? I've been in pain for months, probably gonna see about switching doctors if this is how hard it's going to be just to get seen. "We called on Monday." Yeah, thanks for that.

The amount you will pay is ridiculous, they will charge you for a phone call, for a doctors note to your work or school, be inflexible with appointment changes...and they have your card on file so they will charge at will. Not to mention he doesn't listen to his patients very well or believe them. You'll notice him diagnosing the same things, over and over with no proof. Adrenal fatigue. Thyroid issues. Blah blah. Specifically, i used to see him but he only wanted to sell me supplements from his personal web store. He told me not to buy them anywhere else because his were "better". I found another doc. Fast forward several years, my wife kept going to see him. He ordered a "natural" med for a condition that her bloodwork said she didn't need. He insisted that she needed this med. They ordered it for her that day, without asking, and It was pricey. When she started taking the med she had a serious side effect that he denied was from the med. Every phone call he returned about the side effect, simple questions like "should I stop taking the med? Is this normal?" he charged $190. Each. For a quick phone call. We're about $1000 in and my wife's health got worse and needs other medical follow up, which we're looking for elsewhere. He reached out after she complained about the charges and threatened to leave, he said the charges were a mistake but I'm not confident that's true. I'm a holistic kind of guy, this doctor is not what he appears.

They have handled my insurance with zero issues. I don't have the need to go to a doctor often, but when I do he is who I visit. The check in app has it way off Manchester for some reason and I have submitted an updated locations so hopefully that will get fixed.

It is good to know that everything is still good and that you don't have anything sneaking up on you. After a year of active Yelping and wanting to do it more energetically in 2013, I wanted to make sure my antique of a body could handle it. They also recommend checking with your doctor before starting a new vigorous exercise program. I had to start an exercise program to help me drop the extra 30 pounds that have been added to my frame in the last four years of Yelping. I just hoped he'd not find anything else wrong with this half century plus man. As usual, my check in was easy even with my company changing insurance companies. The taking the new information was smooth and effortless. The front office personnel was well prepared for those changes at the first of the year. It seemed as if everyone who was checking in at the same time, also had changes in their insurance and it was all completed in a timely manner. I barely had to check in on Yelp and one of the friendly efficient nurses was calling my name to come back to one of the examine rooms. Before sticking me in a room, she had me do the thing I was dreading most and that was weighing. The number was higher then I wanted, but not as high if I hadn't gone back to Weight Watcher earlier this year. She then put me in a room and I had no waiting at all. Another nurse joined her and they completed all my test, asked me various questions for clarification and left the room. It was only minutes before my doctor, John Ellena entered and completed my physical. John has a great bedside manner, is good listener and takes great concern in my health. I then was walking back out to my car in less then 40 minutes and a clean bill of health. He did tell me to watch the weight, eat in moderation when Yelping and to keep going to the gym.

I went with him and have no bad comments about his care at all. However, he retired this week. I am 62 with a history of respiratory illnesses and other health challenges and called yesterday to have a visit. The first person I spoke to gave me the name of the NP that worked with the dr I am switching to when I was told I could not be seen by that dr for two weeks for my "well visit". I was told by Zane that the NP had four slots. I checked my insurance and called back and got a different person. I was then told that the NP was not taking new patients. I was not asking to be a new patient, but rather to see the doctor's NP. What is happening was significant enough to warrant a nurse triage call back. I retold everything a third time and the conversation was left with the choice of a virtual visit without any real data from an examination or you'll need to go somewhere else. She seemed distracted from the home during the phone call. I ended up at Mercy Go Urgent Care and had a wonderful NP who diagnosed me within 10 minutes with bronchitis and explained the hours long shallow and virulent coughing. After looking at my BJC chart she said that I should have been red flagged based on my respiratory history. She also supported my turn down of the virtual visit for the same reason I thought. She needed to hear my breathing. I cannot stay with a practice that cares more about protocols than their patients. It's too dangerous.
