Jacqueline saved the day! True to many brides' actual nightmares - I had a wedding dress fiasco a mere few weeks away from my wedding! The seamstress had added pea-sized buttons on my derrière, where buttons did not previously exist. Jacqueline was not only quick to respond, but was able to fix my problem in less than 15 minutes. This, I see, as a victory, because the seamstress who I went to in the first place had looked me dead in the eye when I told her I didn't like the outcome of my dress, and asked her to remove the buttons, and said "I can't do that. It's sewn on." Jacqueline was not only pleasant to chat with as she quickly brought me back from wedding nightmare dreamscape, but she walked me through exactly what she was doing. Jackie from Hem and Veil is absolutely incredible. My wedding dress alteration process has been far from stressful with her at the helm of it all. She was easy to schedule with, communicate with and incredibly professional. She left no question unanswered. During my final dress fitting, she worked on my dress with it on my body for almost 2 hours until she got the final look and fit we both wanted. She worked very meticulously on every small detail of my dress that needed attention and in my opinion went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met and exceeded. I will also add- coming from someone who isn't the most comfortable or confident in these types of social situations, Jackie had my mind at ease and got me so excited for my big day. Jacqueline was INCREDIBLE. I had a lace wedding gown and about 3 months before the wedding I learned I was pregnant with twins! She was able to alter my dress everywhere except the belly area and waited until the week before the wedding to do the final fitting to determine what changes needed to be made at that point. Her prices were also very reasonable, I had assumed my alterations would cost $400, but it was significantly less! I would recommend her to anyone! read more

My original wedding date was 8/29/2020 but with covid I canceled and decided to have a 20 person ceremony on 6/20/2020. Let me tell you about Jacqueline! SHE KNOWS HER STUFF!! My daughter is getting married on 9/23/17 and we started with a seamstress out of the Hollis area. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! There was my daughter's gown, a flower girl dress and 3 out of 4 bridesmaids. The only dress this other seamstress didn't mess up is the 1 she didn't touch! Here we are 2.5 weeks before the wedding. ENTER Jacqueline! She is a TRUE miracle worker!! She got the Bride's gown all set to where it needed to be and made it beautiful again! REMEMBER this was 2.5 weeks before the wedding. She also fixed 1 of the bridesmaid dresses that same week. NOW we are a week exactly 1 WEEK to the wedding day!! 1 of the other bridesmaid recently had a baby and got to try on her dress. IT DOESN'T FIT!!! I call Jacqueline in a panic can you help us! this was about 4ish p.m. on the Saturday before the wedding. She told us that she honestly didn't know if there was anything she could do BUT would see us at 6:30 on a SUNDAY night! We went and she she came up with an idea of how to remedy the situation. Perfect! BUT, can you have it done by Wednesday?? Now only did she make that happen, but she also got rushed that night with another bridesmaid dress! Jacqueline MADE IT HAPPEN!! Jacqueline is very much a people person and she knows her way around a needle and a thread! I think she has mastered the bridal business and knows just what a customer wants.
