Updated review: I accidently posted this review to the wrong station (Shout Lee M: thank you for…read morelet me know!). Many of the LIRR stations look similar to me but Lee tells me the Country Life Press station is much more green than Wesbury. ------ I just took the LIRR from this station for the first time the other day at about 5pm. I've got to say, it was quite the calming, relaxing experience. There was only about 3 other ppl on the platform so I got to have my own personal section of peace and quiet. There was also families of birds chirping from the trees which only added to the serenity. I got my ticket and realized the train wasn't coming for another 30 minutes but I didn't mind one bit. I normally listen to music when waiting for the train but this time I just sat and enjoyed the moment.

Not that easy to locate. A one-track station with a single underpass at one end for us outcasts who don't possess the Village of Garden City parking permits. Today was our first time. The ticket machine must be at the other end as we missed it, but I sweet talked my way out of a surcharge when purchasing on board. Hey, it was Thanksgiving. Being this is our closest gateway to the city, you can bet we'll be back.

Country Life Press LIRR Station - Decent amount of parking spots. I'm sure it fills up during rush hour but it was clear today (Sunday 5pm-ish)

There's also a set of elevators if you don't wish to climb stairs. Once you're there, you can purchase a ticket or what me and my friend did was just jump on tje train heading towards Penn Station. A train attendant will eventually ask all passenger for their tickets or pay onboard either using cash or credit card. How much was a one-way ticket to Penn Station? It was only $17/pax! Few shaded areas with lots of views making it a pretty awesome ride into Manhattan. You'll reach there in less than 30 minutes because on Sunday's it operates on a rapid express route skipping several stations. It's an enjoyable ride and per Google, there was an option to transfer at Jamaica Station. But since the faster route brought us to Penn, it cut even more time. Lot's of people seem to keep to themselves, I'm pretty sure that you will come across beggars or train performers, so always keep track of your belongings and stay vigilant as this is city public transportation. I bet on weekdays it can get extremely crowded like what you'd typically go through during rush hour. However you need to experience riding The Meteo in NYC. It's fun. Definitely recommend!

It is also possible to purchase tickets on-line. The train was very prompt and on schedule. The ride was quiet. The windows could have been cleaned so the we could enjoy looking outside. The inside of the train cars were very clean. My one big complaint is that when we arrived at the Carle Place station from Penn Station, the door opened for just a few seconds and we couldn't get off the train. We had to ride to the next station and walk 25 minutes to our destination. It was late at night. Luckily it was a safe neighborhood. I don't know if we were supposed to do something to get the door to open. There were no officials in our train car to ask.
