Lol I came on Yelp to look up their new address for my appointment and saw a really bad review, but after reading it, I realized they are talking about some other business (they don't even have a Heather at this business..weird but I didn't want it to hurt their business, so I figured I would let you'll know who they really are!) I never thought Accupunture would be for me..needles? No thanks! BUT Joe is an amazing Dr and has saved me from having to have sinus surgery! I was getting repeat infections especially during allergy season and was constantly at the Dr. and in antibiotics which I hate! I fly often for work and that made the sinus pain unbearable. My Dr said surgery was the only fix, so I figured I had nothing to lose trying Accupunture first. I started out with two sessions a week and cut back to a few times a month maintenance. I'm such a believer that when my 18 sessions covered by insurance runs out, I'll pay for more sessions out of pocket. I now run to him for everything; after shoulder surgery, when I have sciatica pain, digestion issues from too much Yelping and I'm wanting to see if it will work for weight-loss as well (one can hope but if you follow me, then you see allll the places I go to eat, so doubtful) lol! My DH goes for arthritis pain as well. Staff is sweet, Katie at the front desk is a doll and always works with our crazy schedules. Their demeanor is somewhat like going to the Red Bank Animal Hospital, we can help you at any cost even though your animal should be put down. Started simple enough, here's an ice pack for your back. Okay. Then a huge back brace. Then a Tens Unit. Then orthodics for my feet (although never any treatment for the condition). Don't worry your INSURANCE will cover all this. So after a few weeks they suggest I get another MRI, the one from the orthopidic doctor's wasn't good enough. So I get it done, they really don't freak me out. Then go see THEIR neurologist to read the scans. So I set up the appointment and go and see her. She asks why did you have a scan of your brain? IDK, they recomended it. ( oh the 'nurse' there thought I might have had a "minor" stroke after looking at them, thank you for scaring the shit out of me for a day). So (the neurologist) she turns and looks at me and said " There is not any type of physical therapy that could improve your condition, you need surgery as soon as possible before the condition worsens". Need I say more? I feel like I bought the 'magic oil' from the guy off the horse drawn wagon. (yeah a horse and pony show) Don't worry, I'll mail you any checks I get from the insurance company, and I plan on going to my insurance provider to get these type of places off their coverage.
