I was arrested and taken here by HPD, and when I had a Manic Epsiode, they put me on suicide watch and its again, rather by not giving the inmates the proper treatment. The mental health staff also do NOT take care of inmates. I wouldn't even wish somebody to be taken here upon my worst enemy. Do better Henderson.

If I'm visiting The Strip or Chinatown during off peak hours, the drive from Henderson going north takes approximately 30 minutes. The best part of the city is at night! The place appeared quiet and pleasant. The self serve machine was just what I needed and I was able to weigh my mail and purchase postage quickly and drop the package in the drop off area spot right next to it. Take the elevator to the second floor, then walk all the way to the left side of the building. You'll see a door covered with signs like "Do Not Disturb," "Do Not Open," and "Do Not Knock" -- that's the right place! Once you're there and waiting, an officer will come out and collect your passport. The staff were super friendly, and the whole process was easy and efficient. It is a door just past the Lost & Found alcove. DO NOT KNOCK ON THE DOOR. There are signs posted saying not to knock, or try to open the door. The seat where they interview customers is just inside the door, and it interrupts the process. A BP officer will come out and get you for your appointment. The process was pretty quick, some questions, photo and fingerprints. Overall, not too painful, other than the 2.5 month wait for an appointment.
