Not with Prestissimo. They were responsive, communicative, and had a great online system that helped me review an estimate, approve it, and pay. They were prompt, fast, and did good work. I will 100% be calling them again in the fall for another gutter cleaning.

I had Steve come out to redo the soffit and gutters on a Detroit Duplex I'm working on. At the time…read moreof the estimate, I had multiple companies bid on the job. I went with Steve because I liked him and he seemed like he knew his business. I placed an initial deposit for the job in January. Work kept being pushed back and nothing was started until Mid-March, which was understandable at the time because it was a harsh winter. The first day of the job was just taking care of some issues on the roof for me. I had an improperly installed ridge vent that was letting in powdered snow. That all seemed to go well, but another week went by before Steve and crew came back to start the gutters and soffit work. Upon arrival, Steve called me to tell me the job was bigger than he thought and he was just refunding my deposit and washing his hands of it. Ultimately, I had to call back the other company that bid on the job and hire them instead. Of course, because it was no longer mid-winter I had to pay more than their initial estimate. When they got up on the roof they noticed that there were no vents at all. Steve had completely removed my ridge vent instead of just fixing the snow intrusion and I had to pay to put a new one in. The other company also acknowledged the complications with my install (some roof joists had to sistered so new fascia could be installed), but they just took care of it for an extra cost instead of walking away from the work. All in all, going with True North on this costed me probably $3-4k more than if I had just gone with my 2nd company in the first place.

We ended up going with the upgraded black 6" gutters, vinyl siding on our house and garage, plus vinyl soffit to match & then aluminum trim to accent everything!! I felt extremely comfortable from start to finish dealing with Steve and his work crew @ True North Gutters. I contacted the company for a quote on gutters; they insisted that I be able to meet with the salesman for "x" minutes, so he can show me his "presentation". Not ideal, but I went with it. Beaudy came by and spent 90 minutes with me; taking photos, notes, calling back and forth to the "boss" to get my price lower. They agreed to lower the price if I agreed to allow them to place a sign in my yard for "x" days. Fine, I paid a deposit on that's when the fun started. The day of the install, two people came over that morning. They did not know where things went, They had no idea what a rain barrel was. I walked around with them explaining it all, and then had to leave for vacation. There was a significant language barrier; although they were very professional and worked quickly, they had no instructions. While on the road, I received a call from a guy who was at my house, wanting to review the project and making suggestions on changes due to drainage issues he discovered. I had to pull over to talk to him; I had already spent 90 minutes with Beaudy, then another hour with the install crew, now this cocky guy who I had never heard of. Where was Beaudy? Does he even work for this company? I called the office and asked that Mr. cocky pants gets off my. property and send Beaudy over. When the job was finally "done", it was not done, The rain barrel was left uninstalled; deflectors were missing in several places. The owner (?) Bryan came out several times to fix all of the problems. This is the short version, this was so ridiculous I can't believe it really happened. I finally "found" Beaudy, who said he was out with Covid for 3 weeks. That would have been nice to. know; but I still am not convinced he even works there. BIZARROWORLD.
